May 9 smooth01 Men's 50 128 posts | Our team is looking to purchase a case of the Combat Original bats, we are looking at the blue Original's from Combat, they have the same model # as the gray Senior Combat (ORISP1), Can anyone tell me if these are or will be allowed in Senior play? Seems to be the same bat with only a different paint scheme , Although the 1.20 isn't on the bat ,rumors are that they will be allowed as they are the same, |
May 9 batwise 35 posts | If I understand the rules the bat has to have the 1.20 stamp on it. I belive that was the problem with the Rip It bat, it is or was a 1.20 but did not have the stamp on it. So it looks like you will have to go the Anaconda bat. I hope I got the facts right on this. Let me know if I did not. |
May 10 tattooball 774 posts | The blue combat original bat has never been sent in for testing and certification, therefor it is not legal in any senior softball play that requires the bat to be 1.20 certified. The only legal senior bat that combat makes is the gray anaconda sports bat. This includes the rip-it outlaw bat. |
May 10 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Combat makes more bats that are 1.20 but they are not designated "senior" bats. The C-4 is or was one of them if not the first one they had. Decker made the Jump. Never made it to market. I tested both of those. Jump was the worst but got hot just before breaking. C-4 took too long to break in, with only fair pop. Decker was supposed to come out with another but I guess that died as well. C-4 was still around last I checked. |
