The National Rules Committee sessions are open to the public and start on Wednesday of the week following Thanksgiving ... They will be in Las Vegas again this year ... In the meantime, continue re-reading Definition §1.28 F. and §1.29 until you grasp the subtleties of the differences in wording, meaning and impact on collateral provisions of the rules ... Oh, and remember that the National Rules Committee accepts input ONLY by identifiable written correspondence and email or by personal appearance testimony ... We SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDE anything from this message board, for obvious reasons ... |
| March 4 TimMcElroy 947 posts | 99.9% of the membership appears to understand why the rule clarification was made and is okay with the wording that was chosen to correct the matter. You don't have to agree with the way the rule was written, but it (the rule) will not change anytime soon. Starting and continuing multiple threads is not likely to bring about the kind of change you are looking for. So, before this matter is transferred to the unintended consequences department, I suggest that you send your proposed wording to RULES@seniorsoftball.com. The committee will evaluate the request at the next rules meeting (December) and make a call. |

I would look forward to talking to individuals and not snarky commentators like BJ. It is quite a chore to have a mature conversation when he is dragging it down most each and every time as noted by his comment above. Maybe I get this bone cancer beaten before I do anything else. |
