TO SS-USA: Thanks, Fran, Dave, Chris, Rudy, Jessie, & the many others that made this past wkend, a great wkend @ Carson City.

I do have a question 4 Bill & Terry. When did u start w/ "THE SMOKE NAZI POLICE", @ Senior Tournaments?

To Jessie, my main man, his wife & son, I am truly sorry, that 2 senior women where rude to u're family.

To the 2 females, that I hope where just not think'. It is wrong 4 u 2 to ever talk to another human in the manner & tone of voice. In the State of Nevada, it is not a crime to smoke out doors.

When a grown man, gets up, walks 10' farther away to smoke; in which that person is 25' from the 2 of u; up wind of both of u; the wind is gust' up to 45 MPH; I wonder just what & or who in the H...... do u think u r!!!

If, the 2 of u have breathing problems, than why, were the 2 of u outside?? Winds up to 45 MPH; Dust blow' & the pollen count 4 TREEs, GRASS, & WEEDS were moderate.

Will SS-USA, please, put in place a "NO SMOKING POLICE" allow policy??

WHY, CAN'T WE ALL JUST LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

The STONEMAN.....SMOKE UP..... SURF UP... ENJOY

It's unfortunate someone has to be that callous, I guess they don't realize they make themselves look that much smaller (besides stupid and rude) to everyone around them that can overhear. I bet those that did overhear thought a lot less of the people making the remarks than they did of the people smoking. They must just have an unconscious need to spread their negativity. Everyone has their preferences/needs. It's hard to fault a smoker that is courteous enough to distance themselves as a matter of habit and courtesy.

I played in this tournament Tuesday through Sunday and have to agree that it was very well run. Quite a number of players commented on how good and enjoyable the umpiring crews were at theCentennial complex officiating extremely well and displaying a relaxed sense of humor at every field. They really added to make it an enjoyable weekend. That would be 100% for the tourney but there was one umpire in Reno that did not meet the standards of his peers and probably should not have been out there.

All in all a very good weekend..

Pete, it was good seeing you there.
My only regret about the time there was that I didn't get to see and or meet more players.
Centennial was very well run and like you said the umpiring, was quality.
Looking forward to Reno next month.

Taits, it was good to see you also especially since we had played against each other in years past but didn't know who was who from the board.
It was good to renew friendships from the past and start friendships for the future. I played in Carson Tues - Thurs then in Reno Fri - Sun. I really dissappointed I didn't get back to Carson and see some of the other guys on the weekend but we had a hectic and busy schedule trying to fight our way back to the top and ended up pretty late on Sunday.
Will have to catch up next time.

Pete D,
Seeing players one has played with or against, & hopefully made a freiend with, is one of the greatest parts of the travel ball circut.
These tournaments and Vegas & St. George give slot of that. I haven't had the oppertunity to go to other out of state sites. Perhaps some day. St G provides alot alot more oppertunity, I've played for 4 different teams from 3 states and another from Canada.
Perhaps we'll meet up in Reno next month as well good luck there. C-U on the field.

TAIT: Scot, please, start u're own topic. Also, stop hi-jack' topics. U have a habit of hi-jack'. This post was about ballplayers wifes & some persons that appear to be RUDE.

Thanks Stoney. I am also guilty of the etiquitte breach on this thread and I apologize.

I did a disservice to all of those "Smoking Nazi" people that enjoy making themselves look stupid & small by loudly belittling others.

This thread is dedicated to them and they deserve all the attention they've so right(eously) earned.

Softballer; I was manning 3rd base most of the tourney. On this ocassion being called an ump would not have been a bad thing as they also were part of a great tournament. I'm still in the bat and glove mode, my eyesight isn't bad enough to be an umpire yet (kiddingly said).
