York is not part of the Philadelphia region which is a hotspot.
Also the stay at home is only until May 8th at this point. Not May 15th.

bsb16- SSUSA is communicating with players via the weekly newsletter. At this moment, the Battle of the Roses tournament is still on. If changes are made, SSUSA will reach out to teams that registered to play. Tim

3 different York hotels told our team that SSUSA had cancelled this tournament a week to 10 days ago. Why would hotels be saying this? If it is true, why would SSUSA notify hotels but delay notifying participating teams?

This tournament will have to be cancelled now. Governor didn’t open up York County per his press conference today.

As Friday, May 1st, there has been NO official decision by EITHER SSUSA or York County, PA, regarding the Battle of the Roses event, nor have we advised ANY potential hotel that a cancellation has occurred ... We have arranged to be advised on Monday (05/04/20) of the York County re-opening plan, if any, at which time we will make a final "go/no-go" decision for the event ... Next Friday, 24 (NOT including York) of the State's 67 counties are expected to transition from the current Statewide "RED" (total lock-down) stage to a less restrictive "YELLOW" stage ... Please check back here late Monday for updated information ... Thank you ...

I watched the governor’s conference. York County is not moving from red to yellow. Even if a county has been moved from red to yellow, softball isn’t allowed at the yellow stage. A county has to be at green stage to start playing.

Senior Softball has clearly explained the status of this tournament and their plan for making a go / no go decision. Patience sir, patience.

Correct, team managers were notified via email from the Home Office and then assumed they made the change there for all.
