| May 22 jfsully 82 posts | Pitchers allowed to wear batting glove Dan : One of the problems in this is the CDC says something and gives published guidance to sports organization and recreational group AND THEN, later, updates in press releases negating their original guidance. It doesnt seem they send that updated info to the organizations. In many ways , one hand at the CDC doesnt know what the other is doing. You are correct that in the last several days they have said that touching objects does not seem to be a way to transfer the virus. Today Birx, after saying the only need for a mask is in situations where you cant social distance, said that people should use their own marked tennis balls when they play tennis!!! which is different than what the CDC just released. It seems the specifics are what are screwed up and not updated Some organizations are going to have to stay on top of this continually changing guidance and see that it is getting more and more lenient and adjust accordingly |
