Regarding the "Bobby Chapp Memorial Tournament" underway today, who was Bobby Chapp? Have asked quite a few individuals and know one seems to know who he was........Just curious......thank you in advance

Bobby Chapp was from the Detroit area and was very likely one of if not the best shortstops of his time. From the 70s thru the 80s and into the 90’s if you played against him you would quickly learn if you hit it to him you were going to be out. One of the classiest guys there was. Sadly, approximately 10 years years ago he passed away on the field during this tournament. Starting the following year the tournament was renamed the Bobby Chapp Memorial.

Thank you so much for the history lesson "stick8"......I indeed went back through some of the history materials collected over the many years and found him....he was indeed a highlight to the Great Game of Slow-Pitch Softball.....Once again, thank you so much for sharing Bobby;s legacy.........
