Feb. 20 garyheifner 651 posts | RUNNER ON 1st-LEFT HANDED BATTER HITS A HARD LINER JUST BELOW THE 1ST BASEMANS KNEE. HE MAKES ONE OF THOSE STARTLED REACTIONS. BALL HITS HIS GLOVE AND IT VEERS TOWARDS 1ST. HE RUNS OVER. PICKS IT UP. TOUCHES 1ST AND THROWS THE BALL TO 2ND AND RUNNER IS TAGGED OUT. UMP RULES BATTER IS OUT AND RUNNER GOES BACK TO 1ST. NOW-THE UMP DID NOT SAY THE BALL WAS INTENTIONALLY DROPPED. HE SAID THE BALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT. NEVER HEARD OF SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT. HAVE ANY OF U? |
