There are six teams in the NSA 50 AAA World Tournament in Boaz. Metro Star and OG's from Louisville, Indiana Classics from Indy, Echo Quest, Pensacola Merchants and Eagle Systems. I don't see any of the last three teams in the ratings and wondering if anyone knows anything about them?

All 3 are listed in the SPA ratings list.
EcoQuest is from Arkansas
Pensacola, of course, from Florida and Eagle Systems from Memphis, TN.
All 3 are pretty solid teams.

I think that I know the Pensacola Merchants. If its the team that I am thinking about, they played in the SPA qualifier in Pensacola under the name of Doc's, and maybe by the same name in the SSWC qualifier in Auburn. About half of the team is the Pensacola Hitmen from last year. Three of us moved up to 55's one to 60+ and one went to the Fl. Crush. The 5 or 6 that are left that I know are very savy ball players. Their ss, Dennis has good power, along with a couple of others. Their outfielders are very capable. Don't take the team lightly.
Good luck to you and them.

We played in the 55+ division in Cullman last weekend and I have a question. In the Comparison of Rules of Associations on this website, it states that for NSA AAA, the home run rule is 1 and +1, then and out. In the NSA rulebook on their website, it states for AAA it is 1 and +1 and a single. Why do the two contradict each other? Why wasn't the tournament played by the rule book?
It wasn't a big deal since in our 8 games there were only 2 hrs, one by us and one by our opponents.
That brings up another point. The next time someone says that we will be using a Worth Super Gold Dot, 44 cor, 525 compression, I will just look at it as a SORRY 375 compression ball. We were very disappointed in the ball.
Btw, we lost the if game to Jim And Joe's Ice in the if game. Congratulations to them. We'll see you in Plano.

Bruce,

We used the same balls in the 60 division at Gadsden. You're absolutely right. I didn't see a home run in any of the games I played or watched. With the deep grass, it was unusual to even see a ball roll to the fence. I was playing right center and for most batters was playingabout 40-50 feet behind my second baseman. Given the choice, I'd much rather hit a good ball with a mediocre bat than vice-versa.

BruceinGa,I play 3rd base for Jim & Joe's.We are out of Louisville,ky.Sure enjoyed our 2 games in finals .Though we had you guys in 1st game but your team did the job in botton of 7th.We were home team in the if game & I think that made the difference plus we didn't make the silly mistake's like we did in 1st game. What position did you play?

BruceinGa,only problem was our guy was having a bad day at the plate & lost his cool which was a surprise because he's never lost it before.Umps did a good job.I remember your bat,you hit it well.iI think we finally got you out the last game.I agree balls were bad,but that may have help us. We do not have a Home Run hitter. We are a league team all live within 25 mile's of each other.Good luck in Panama City.We plan on being in Plano hope our back up pitcher can go,we only had the one in Cullman
