Ballplayer interested in Florida TOC Tournament during February. I am a 57 year old, 235 pound, 6’ 3” better than average first baseman. Average at third base. Home run power, but inconsistent. Slower than average speed. Sponsorship is not required, but will be gladly accepted. Can also assume limited uniform costs. No expectation of playing time. Awards include All-Tournament recognition in the following locations, years, and positions; (1) 2002, Oil Capital, Oklahoma Mudcats, 50 AAA, 3rd Base (2) 2005, SPA Nationals, Texas, Oklahoma Outlaws, 50 AA, 1st Base (3) 2006, SPA All-American Classic, Texas, Dallas Freeman Auto group, 55 AA, 1st Base (4) 2007, SPA, Oil Capital Classic, Oklahoma Outlaws, 50 AAA, 1st Base. I know other interested players with similar or better credentials. Their ages are 52 (1st Base), 53 (2nd Base), 56 (SS), 57 (P/EH), and 60 (3rd Base/SS), psbydesign@cox.net or (918) 808-4082.

I would also like to play in the TOC. However, my team didn't do the job and qualify. Unless you have found a clever way around it, I believe that you have to have been on the roster when a team won an event to qualify. You would be an illegal player.

Gary, I think the rules allow it as long as you have at least 6 from the original roster.

shoeless- There's actually a link on the home page here under the TOC area where they explain last year's rules for adding players. I haven't looked at it in a while, but I seem to remember it was pretty tight on what a team could do for that tournament. You might want to take a look at it and see if it fits for you.

I believe if you have to add players ,they have to be from the next age division up ,If you qualified with the 50 division, you would have to pick up from the 55 division within the same class, Not sure ,but that is how I read it.

Florida TOC Player Parody

Ballplayer interested in Florida TOC Tournament during February. I am a 62-year-old, 235 pound, 5’ 7” overweight less than average first baseman, below average at third base and terrible outfielder. Can catch but have no arm back to the pitcher.

No Home run power whatsoever, but I’m consistent. Slower than the slowest guy on any team. Sponsorship is required and I’ll accept nothing less. Cannot incur any other costs such as uniforms, bats, airfare, hotel food and water. Big expectation of playing time, I don’t “sit and hit” if you know what I mean. No awards to speak of but I’ve only been playing for 12 years!

Please contact me if I fit the bill on your Major Plus squad.
