Hi Robert, thanks for posting the results, the only question I have is, all of the top 4 teams you listed are Major teams, why are they in the AAA division??? my team has never played in this tourney, we are thinking about gong to the SSWS next year instead of the ISSA in Manassas ,in which we have played the last two years, not real happy with it, so we are looking for a change.
does this mean the AAA teams are in the AA division? Thanks again, Rabbit, coach of the Indiana Classics 50 AAA

Rabbit, I have never been to DesMoines but I have heard they put everyone together for the round robin and after those games are played they decide who plays in which division. The last two years I ahve heard complaints about higher class teams winning lower class divisions. I see the ISSA World was pretty competitive in the 50 AAA division. I'll see you next Wed. in Plano.

Rabbit,Stig. We have played there twice, They have 2 div. upper and lower. Everyone starts in the upper,if you lose 2 within your first few, then you are moved to lower div. and start all over. Because there are Major + teams some feel they are justified tanking there games to get into the lower div. They don't(ssws) rate teams.

Rabbitt,
Here is the skinny on these so called play down tournaments .What they should be called is lay down tournaments.Every year the teams that win AAA are either Major or Major+ and the ones that win AA are AAA or Major. It is a real joke how far some of the teams will go to play down instead of in there proper division.

Because of the format of this tournament true AA & AAA teams do not attend, so really what you have are Major + & Major teams entereing, with the major teams being knocked down( in most cases) to the lower division. Bob

What a joke. The bozo that runs this association deserves what he gets - people not wanting to attend.

Anyone know how many teams played, and what their classifications were, Major+, Major, AAA and AA?

There were 16 teams( 2 no-shows)
I think the breakdown was
Major + 5 teams
Major 10 teams
AA 1 team
I could be off by a team or Two but either way you can see a trend. Bob

Robert, the numbers really dropped off in the AAA and AA divisions. I am sure the combined format had a impact. Thanks for the info. Will you be in Plano?
