Who was there and who won?
I heard the 50 team from Arkansas looked good.
From what I was told Conn Sportsplex was there playing only exhibition games. Why only exhibition games?

Greetings Bruce,
A most excellent tourney, even the weather cooperated.
As for Conn. Sportsplex, They put on a hitting exhibitions for sure, but to answer your question, I think it was a composite team with players from the Atlantic coast and New England states. Heard they just wanted to get out of the cold. LOL

Hey Bruce, this is Kenny from GA/AL Masters, and to answer your questions, the Sportsplex team did put on a hitting display, they are great at what they do. We played them 3 times this weekend and I do not have to tell you the results. They are a very classy team and I only pitched against them twice, and they do know how to use all the fields and hit it when they want to. GA/AL Masters won the tournament and I didn't quite understand the way they did things, but it was good playing these type men and know that you have individuals who love the game as they do. They are really a repectful bunch of guys, when it comes to hitting the middle with the sun dead in the pitchers eyes. I'm glad because I do want to play a little while longer. Good luck to the Sportsplex team.

Hi Len and Kenny!
The men on Sportsplex are great guys as well as exceptional competitors. I wish I could have been there to share the good times!
So Len, did you win?
Kenny, was your team the only other 55 team there? How about Johnny S.! Last Tuesday he hit one out. That isn't so surprising to most but what is so good about it is that he only had knee replacement last December!
Did Carl play? How is his rehab from his knee replacement?

Yepper Bruce, we (Morris Farm) took the 60 gold division.
Had a great time playing the outfield and 3rd base.

Bruce there were three 55 teams in the tournament, plus the Sportsplex team. B'55 who have a number of the old Kayson 55's on the team and Garrett's 55's out of Tennessee. They are both real good teams and have a great group of men playing. As for Johnny S. well he hit a few out this weekend and made the All-tournament team, he really looks good after what he went through with the knee replacement. Carl is still in rehab and working hard to get back. Tommy who had knee replacement is also back and doing well. We haven't seen Rich since his surgery. The tournament was well played and I learned alot playing against the upper class teams, it is slow pitch and you must hit the ball. Hope your family is well and hope to see you in Birmingham in couple of weeks.

Congratulations to you and your team Len!
Kenny, I didn't know Rich had surgery. I wish him a quick rehab. I think your team will now have a reputation for bad knees (or once bad knees)! One thing that I have learned in years past when playng upper class teams is to play your own game, don't try to keep up with their hrs!
I won't be in B'ham. Next tourney will be the Spring Nats.
