can anyone tell me why the winners in this tournament do not qualify for the 2009 TOC. did i miss something important? thanks, ken(they do qualify in 2010?)

they qualify for the 2010 TOC because some teams complained to SSUSA that since ft myers teams are using their next year's team they should not be permitted to play in the TOC until the following year. SSUSA agreed and made the change. I think i stated that correctly?

Winners of the November, 2007, Winter National and Winter World Championships previously received invitations to the 2008 Tournament of Champions and, accordingly, are not included in this eligibility list for the 2009 TOC. However, the 2008 Winter Nationals and Winter Worlds champions WILL receive an invitation to the 2010 TOC. Future TOC eligibility will be based on the 'current' Sr. Softball season rosters. The 'current' season runs from the end of the World Championships in the current year through the end of the World Championships in the next year.
