A player in a championship game flys out and instead of going back the bench he goes to first base and nobody notices. Then scores!! Win at all costs?? How about the manager and scorekeeper?? Win at all costs??

Those of us in the stands thought it was funny at first until we rally thought about it. The whole championship series could have been affected. All that those guys worked for could have been taken away by a cheat!!

I agree with you. I probably was funny at first. Where was the defense? Didn't the first baseman notice?

Heh heh. He probably didn't do it on purpose. I was a a classic senior moment.

How many times have you seen a guy hit into a fielders choice and be so disgusted with himself he walks back , or attempts to walk back to the dugout?

I did this in a league game one time. I was forced out on a FC at 2B but due to a senior moment, I stayed there.

No one said anything and I scored on the next at bat.

I'm not sure of the actual circumstances and where that sac fly went & whether there was a runner at first at the time of the sac fly. I was playing 1st and didn't recall the play and might have broke to take or back up a throw.

Apparently I was not the only one that didn't see this happen. We were told by the player that did it after the game so I guess we all missed it including our score keeper and the two umpires.

We had to come from behind to win that game by 1 run in the 7th inning against a very determined and tough team that had worked it's way through the losers bracket short on players.

Obviously, we didn't see it. Hopefully, it's not a common practice for him/them. I know most of those guys and it pretty shocking that that would get attempted. It could have affected the entire outcome.

Hopefully, it didn't happen in any of their other games.

That team fought all the way through with only 10 guys and this kind of undermines all the honest effort they forth.
Those guys left it all on the field. It's really too bad this happened. They played a great tournament and I'm surprised a player ot that caliber would try it to begin with.
