July 21, 2008 Lecak Men's 60 1026 posts | Public thank you for thoughts and help I received this week I wanted to publicly thank Steve Imlay, Rick Perez, George Robinson and the Stoneman for their help in getting me the help I needed this past week. Tuesday we were hitting and shagging fly's and I experienced chest pains, shortness of breath and a general crappy feeling. Stubbornly I tried to plow through it and they convinced me to get to the hospital. No heart attack just the body telling me there was some blockage. These gentleman were a big help to my wife. I also would like to thank all those who extended me their well wishes. I'm proud to be a part of senior softball. My thoughts are that my involvement with senior softball ultimately will extend my life due to friends I have made and the care each of us listen to our bodies. I'm convinced that my early warning signals would not have manifested themselves until it would have been to late if I was not a part of senior softball and the competition and preparation it provides. Hope to see everyone at the upcoming LVSSA event in late August. Joe Lecak Las Vegas Nevada |

July 21, 2008 Bob50 Men's 60 242 posts | If you want to test the condition of your body then shag practice balls for Steve Imlay on a daily basis. In return Steve would do anything for you in return--even mouth to mouth. For the record I am not speaking from experience. |

July 22, 2008 the wood Men's 65 1123 posts | Joe, I'm glad that you did heed their sound advice and get the check up. In the short time that I've known you I have to come to really like and respect you. Even though you are one heck of a player, you are still a 'we' guy... not a 'me' guy. You're a giver that really does have the 'best interest' of senior softball in the forefront of your thoughts. Many say they do but you 'walk the walk'. Take good care of yourself so that we can continue to cross paths. Sincerely, BW |

July 24, 2008 breeze53 Men's 65 57 posts | OK, OK, OK, Joe you are alright, feeling great and still going to complete in the sprints in the Huntsmans games. I have asked before and enquiring minds want to know, What are you going to wear for your competition. The tank top and the tight shorts, like those of our younger days. Or something more conservative like shorts with those long johns underneath. Either way, this is one event I am not going to miss. Bob |
