The banter about the Jackson Merchants in Vegas has gone on for a while now. The Jackson team had 6 players (5 starters) that were in Alabama that could not make the trip to Vegas. Rather than drop out we invited some other local players to attend that had not played with us before. Thinking that we would not be competitive we requested a move to AA. It is my understanding that the ratings are done based on personnel and the personnel was considerably changed due to the absence of the 5 players.
As to our IQs and intelligence levels that the one gentleman spoke of this was greatly lowered by the absence of the five people we left home. If my memory serves me correctly the same person might make better use of his time by getting off the computer and taking batting practice in his basement!

Tony, we were glad to see you there. We have played you a couple of times in South Bend and had hoped to see you in Indy or Kalamazoo this year. Congratulations on the win in Vegas, and we hope that you will be coming to Indy in May. A player on one of the teams whose name I will omit went off saying that we were AAA and then beat us in Vegas. We have always been AA, and over half of our team is over 55; so don't feel too bad. We know you, and we weren't upset that you were in our division especially since SSWC let us know about it. Every day that we wake up is a good one.

The banter goes on. At least now we know that the Jackson Merchants weren't at fault. So now we know that our own organization doesn't know how to follow it's own rules and guidelines. And I quote,
" The tournament director cannot change your classification prior to tournament play. He/she can only give their opinion after watching your team play."
In regards to missing a few players, you go, you play AAA, you get your butt kicked, and you enjoy Las Vegas. Right?
After all every day we wake up is a good one. Maybe SSWC will wake up.

More banter........

Tony, thanks for the explanation on why your team entered the AA instead of AAA. It's a little better knowing that you didn't just enter AA, but told the SSWC people of your intentions. So I'd have to say if there was a mistake, it was there's. They can't seem to follow there own rules. But, if you think the players are the ones that are rated I think you are mistaken. It's the performance of the team in the qualifying and other tournaments that you play in that is responsible for your rating. Even if personnel changes, the team keeps the rating and is supposed to play in the division you are in. That's why there is all the confusion. They never should have let you in the AA.

As to the comment by that guy on your intelligence, he should look in the mirror before suggesting someone else has a low IQ. Thanks.

Sorry, wrote "there's" instead of theirs. I don't want to sound like some of the others on this site. LOL
