I've seen a lot of guys swinging the Macenko Steve Imlay and George Robinson are teammates of mine who swung it the last two weekends. They love it. It feels end loaded and has pop. It has no warranty is what I understand. The Ultra 2 is hard to beat for pop and size of sweetspot though a broken in Combat will give it a run for it's money for pop. It is the most fragile of the 3 and has no warranty. The SuperFreak is a Freak that's endloaded just like a Freak plus but the head is wrapped as an original Freak and that means it will start stiff but get hotter to infinity. I had a freak that hit as well or better than my Ultra 2 for the last 100 swings. It has a warranty. I guess it depends on which one is best suited to your musculature and batting style. |

Line drives were solid and the distance was good. It felt a little heavy when i first starting swing the bat, but you get use to it. The more I swing the better it feels and performs. |

Mike, First, when you called me about a month ago about buying your autographed Combat Gear, I had to sort of sidestep the issue. The reason being that my wife answered the phone, and I did not want to let her know I was buying a new bat. ( something about being unemployed for the last 10 months) . The fact was, I had called you and Kevin and by the time you called, I had already ordered the bat from him. Sorry about that. Anyway, I got the bat about three days later, started hitting it right away, and all I can say is "WOW" . I have has outstanding results with this bat. I like this bat so much that I have stopped using it during my bi-weekly hitting sessions with the Hollis brothers. I mention them because they already broke the one that Audie bought. They estimated they got about 120 swings on it before it broke, but I really think it was more than that. The truth is there isn't a senior bat made that those two mashers wouldn't break. And we were hitting ZN's. Sure was fun watching them fly. |
