I will ask the question. Has anyone actually seen a batter take his stance FIVE FEET off the plate and get away with it?

Fred, that is interesting. Why are they allowed to get away with it? Does anyone point it out to the umps?

League play I see it quite a bit. Tourneys in CA, a few times. A national "T", only once.

As for why not called upon, Who knows. Not I.

The "box" does need to be enforced. But then too, so do many others.

I am intrigued at how accepting some of you guys are at certain rules being ignored, or not enforced. How do you choose which rules can be broken, and which cannot?

Dirty, as for the last part or question, you should ask the assn reps, they are where the answer will lie. Players don't make them or should have the final say let alone anything except maybe in them ie maj\m+ which seems to work so far.
