| Nov. 12 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for Session #1 (Men's 65's, 70's, 75's and 80's) of the 2008 Winter World Championships in Las Vegas, NV, have been posted and are available from the links on the Home Page ... As always, these TENTATIVE schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "Official" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager's Meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on all matters discussed there, including Schedule, Rule and Format changes ... The Participating Teams List and Master Games & Fields Grid has also been posted ... Good luck to all! |
| Nov. 12 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | REVISION - MEN'S 65's - The Men's 65-Division has been revised to correct an error in team rating classification. All teams that were originally scheduled to play at 10:00 AM will still play then, but other games on Tuesday and Wednesday may have changed. Brackets were also modified as a result of the ratings reclassification. |

| Nov. 17 DoubleL10 Men's 70 907 posts | Hi, Dave. I did note that the draft schedule has one team - High Desert 60s - playing at 11 AM versus D & K on Field 1 AND at the same time versus Paradise Chevrolet on Field 2! Hope this helps. LL |

| Nov. 17 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | DoubleL10 - Thanks for a good catch! ... Noted and fixed on nboth the 60's Platinum Division schedule and the Master Grid. Dbax - There is a Sunset Park restriction during the time that includes the Winter Worlds for the annual "Gift of Lights" festival. The Women's program requested (and we granted) that all women's teams play in the same location. Sunset was the only site that could accommodate them in one place. We have to be clear of the park by 5:00 PM daily, hence the 7:30 AM start for ALL women's teams on Saturday. Excerpt from the Las Vegas Sun on 11/06/08 - "..Gift of Lights holiday light festival at Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road, runs Nov. 14-Jan. 4. Hours of operation are 5-10 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and holidays, and 5-9 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays. Admission is $13 per vehicle, a $2 discount given for donations to Goodwill of Southern Nevada. A free community night will be held Nov. 17.." |
| Nov. 17 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | DOC ROMEO FRIDAY CHANGES - The starting time for FRIDAY (only) games at Doc Romeo (50-Major/Major+ and 55-Major/Major+) has been moved EARLIER by 30 minutes at the request of Clark County Parks & Rec. Dept. This request is to have us finished in time to avoid conflicts with their Frday night local league. We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause. The change is one that was unknown until Monday afternoon and was completely out of our control. Good luck to all! |
