Here is an idea that I have not seen posted yet that I think might work. I play in the AAA division so I will use that as my example. Why not let all homeruns count until a team is ahead by a certain amount of runs and then make it an out. For example if a team gets ahead by 5 runs at anytime in the game a HR after that would be a DBO. I have a real problem with being behind in a game by however many runs and hitting a homerun that becomes an out,and this rule would mean that a team that is losing a game will never hit a homerun for a DBO. Each division could set the amount of runs to whatever they wanted before the rule kicked in. For example maybe: AA-3 runs, AAA-5 runs, MAJOR-7 runs,MAJOR+ -10 runs.

Why not. There are already a catch-up & flip-flop rules around. Something like 8 runs, in last inning, depending on who is ahead.
Just allow the "catch-up" sooner.

What's another rule, maybe they need a bigger rule book. lol

Lets try this , I know this won't agree with everyone and probably room for improvement: How about this ,the offense has hit their limit,on the next HR, the defensive team then gets a choice of taking an out ,or taking a run.If they elect taking a run,the batter gets a walk, and any runners can only advance by the walk.
