I say Goodman wins this. The only other team I am familiar with is Diamond Fever.

Can you use the Ultra 11 and Anaconda Senior bats in this Tourney?

What kind of balls to they use?

Thanks

Looks like some very good 50 Major Teams will be there. Goodman's is a nice squad and a former Major + Team, watch out for them! My darkhorse candidate would be Pat's Pizza!

Ultra II is legal as is the Anaconda Senior Bats, they will probably be using yellow Trump Balls.

Wagon,
We have played Goodman's over the past 3 years and they have a very good team. I don't know who they have added but they are a tough team to beat and they score a lot of runs and have power.
My two cents

Turn Two / Rock Solid

2awsnome, Goodmans was a major + team for about a week. Pat's Pizza should have been playing majors already.
I've also played Goodmans the last three years. Know them well.

It's kind of hard to judge what each team will be like this year, but I have played against all of these teams in the past. So, going by that I would rank them as follows:

1. Goodmans
2. Diamond Fever Gold
3. Pat's Pizza
4. Gubiotti
5. Rochester 50's
6. IMS Dogs

But, you know how tournaments are, a good draw and a hot team can go a long way. Good Luck to all!

I am new Goodman pick-up. I beleive that there are few others, however, their nucleus stayed intact. I am looking forward to it. As always the team that scores the most win. Good luck to all.

I must ask why Goodman is now just a Major team and not a +?

Thanks:

JamesLG, they were major plus last year for about a week. They got cushed in Salem. They are a major team.I don't think they won any thing last year at the major level.

Regardless if they got crushed or not I believe that it will be border line stupid to be M+ team in the East Coast. Imagine paying $500.00 for a tourney to play 2 out 3 against one other team. There are not that many M+ on The East Coast. How many do you see at the ACC and only 6 major and this is the first true senior tourney this year. I have no idea what they did last year, I can guarantee you that we will win some this year, however, hopefully that will not equate to automatic move up. As always have a nice and bless day.

6 or 7 major teams is what you will see up and down the east coast. Get used to it. Fla will get more.
I wan't implying that goodman's is a good major team, just saying they didn't win anything last year.
Don't you check to see how a teams does before you join them? Thanks for the guarantee, we will keep our eyes out:)

I believe that a tourney with 6-7 quality teams is fun. Heck 90% of the Florida population is 50 YO (smile). I played with Goodman against the youngens last year during an ASA tourney. I guess my defense and arm were good enough...because my stick sucked to get an invite to this years team. Here in the Tidewater area (VA) we had a very good 50 AAA bunch of us has just turned 50...won our first 50 tourney here at VA beach...all good. Went to Ft. Myers and lost three games by 6 runs...to make the long story short, the Team dismantled...found out the coach and some other players had issue before we went down there, and everything came to halt, the team split in two. I did not want to get in the middle so when the opportunity came to play up and with a very well established and with a great reputation I jumped on it. Wagon487, are you going to be there at the tourney? If so will be nice to get to meet you. Have a nice day.

The BCS? Now we are rating teams even before they play one tournament?
The Yankees have the highest payroll; but they still have to do it on the field!

Wagon, Wagon, who's got the Wagon? I thought it was the Fever, He said it was Spicers and OH NO, say it ain't Joe.
My revised ranking:

1.IMS Dogs
2.Rochester 50's
3.Gubiotti

My thinking is that since Wagon is out of the Fever, then they're done, Goodmans doesn't have a chance with Paco, the guy never washes his uniform, and last, since you are with IMS Bill, that moves them to 1st.

Diehard, Que pasa amigo? Are you going to be there? If I am stinking on Sunday morning it was a good weekend, heck I might not even take a shower…This is my first time playing with a major team; hopefully they do not expect me to go from station to station. I like to run and slide and dive for balls I enjoy the heck out of the game. I wish we would have kept our original team but...we did not. For what I gather Goodman has a very nice team, it is softball and it is a hitter’s game. Any team can be beat…Hopefully I do my part when ever I get in the lineup...if I get in the lineup. We are playing this weekend (4/18) in Manassas at Valley view. Good luck to every body. Have a nice day.

Paco my good friend, I will be there. I am playing for the same 55 team that I played for last year. I will try to look you up. I can truly say that Goodmans is getting a quality player in you, good luck.
Money, you are getting as elusive in answering questions as grasshopper ( aka Wagon487 ), who always talks with his tongue firmly planted in his cheeck. See you all in VA next weekend.

2awesom--rick, it looks like the brackets are mixed. spring-ford is in the same bracket as omega(seven).
the 60s this past w/e were some good competition. spring-ford won 3 games sat against 3 AAA teams - stahls, nj masters and mccalls- given 5 runs, then played even sun. we lost to stahls by 3 runs and nj masters by 1. the guys running the tourny are great guys, but change rules alot. 10hr sat and 1 up and singles sun. have a great tourny. ken sf#29
