Sure is quite on this board.

Practice is just around the corner here in Oklahoma. Last two days were crazy in mid 70's. Had to play golf to stem need to hit a softball.
Weekends are usually cold and rain, so much for SB practice.

Crusher,

Had you considered moving to DFW. Our leagues start here next week -- unless you happen to be on the IR list.

TexasTransplant, sounds good.
Where is your league played?
How many teams do you have in your league?
Have a great season.

Our winter league here in Houston does not end until late February. Then our summer league runs from April - October!

I've got a friend who plays in the DFW league, I know it's got to be cold the first few weeks up there since it's chilly right now in Houston and won't really warm up until March.

Crusher,

There are two night time senior leagues here. One in Richardson that plays at Breckenridge Park and one in Grand Prairie that plays at Corsair Park

The one in Richardson has about 10 teams, and is the less competitive of the two. The one in Grand Prairie is the stronger of the two. I'm guessing, but they may have 14 or so teams.

I'll actually be playing in an "E" league in Richardson when I get healthy again. Some of us wanted a little more competitive environment but, if you live on the north side, it's almost 50 miles to Grand Prairie.

There's also a traveling day league for those who are lucky enough to be retired.

I moved here from Little Rock a few years ago and have always thought that, given the population of DFW, there is a potential for a lot more teams than there seem to be.

Through the winter months we have several teams that get together once a month at Grand Prairie for informal tournaments (no sanctioning, provide your own umpires) just to stay active.
