I just received and e-mail from SPA telling me that the SSUSA is not good enough for them that I need to get a SPA card if I want to play in their tourneys. Can all these assoc. get together and just get one card...they seem to agree on few other things...just a concern. Additionally I am having to sign in every single time in the past I was able to sign in for a while...Have a nice and bless day.

Paco,
In '05 it was brought to the Summit table this is the resultRecommend that one Lifetime ID Card be used for those associations that require cards.
Summit Response: Associations requiring ID cards are implementing a pilot program in 2005 for a single ID card for those associations. However, lifetime cards will probably not be used because the cards provide essential revenue for those organizations.
Last sentence sums up, but, revenue is needed. I doubt you'll see it come to 1 card serves all, but each assn should recognize any other valid card.
A very interesting read over the years on various subjects and assn's. Cards, Bats, and Balls seem to generate the most split between them, for any one rule (type) to cover the members.

For the same reason that you have both a
visa card and a master card--they are
issued by two different banks that
different rules,etc.

When I got my first SPA card in 2006, there was an option for a Lifetime Card which I exercised. No Association offers that option now. Additionally, there are actually 3 Senior Cards: SSWS (Senior Softball World Series) also requires a card.

Thank you, Guys. I guess it make sense somewhat, however, Wes your reason is too simple, so I am not going to even entertain it. Go suck on your big toe or something. This senior ball id to compliated for me, must likely my 1st and last year. Have a nice and bless day.
