The original U2 with the ASA stamp ran
26,27,28,29,30oz. The reprints start at
26oz. The U2 usually runs 0.5 to 1.0 oz
heavier than the stickered weight.

barry; the weights of the U2's are basically all the same, its the lenghth of the metal rod in the handel that determines its final weight. You are asking about the originals not the newer end loads right ?

angus73,
Now you went and did it, he's going to ask what metal rod, where & for what. Nothing like knowing your product, who buys them, what models do they come in, etc etc.
Hopefully, he will.

mr. taits i have been in sales all my life and have learned the bus well. I am new to senior softball and new to the bat market. Is that all you have to do is mock people who are intrested in the game instead of the mouth.

I've got a H... of a lot more interest than you do. But the question you posed was really stupid for a sales know it all. Life will continue either way. Go sell 'em.
Mr. is not necessary either, but thank Barry.
If it is Top Gun your on, that's a vg team.

All right kids play nice,

Barry; most of the weights i've seen are 26 to 28 for the originals which swing light. Most of the newer end loads i've seen were about the same.

barrym-- for the purpose of selling/stocking miken ultra 2's, the majority of the wghts sold in senior softball are 27 and 28 oz. good luck in your new business venture.

zonk the original didn't come in 26 oz with a ASA stamp on it,ASA didn't approved that weight in the ultra2,27 oz was the lightest they went.

barry i would go mostly with 27 and 28 oz with the other weights in smaller amounts.you will get more 26's than 29's but less 30's.
example for a 50 bat inventory i would go 15 each of 27,28,10 of the 26's and 6 of the 29's and 4 of the 30's.

Any new distributor will have a hard time beating the prices we get on the internet without paying tax and shipping. Good luck.

Barry,

If you're going to sale Miken's U2's.. Not sure if you are getting the 1st time qualifier buy-in directly from MIKEN which I understand is going to be the required $15K.. However, your best bet for selling to Sr.'s is to have about 3/4 of your total purchase in the Black model U2's with about 3/4 of them in 27/28's and then the other 1/4 in 26/30's... And then get about 1/4 of the Red models... with the same in weight as the Black model...
Good Luck in selling the bats... LMK if you need any help in selling them...

Jose
