Can we generalize and say these aforementioned individuals represent the views of Senior Softball, Or is there a silent majority out there that is not being heard from?
Today, the concept of microcosm has been taken over by sociology to mean a small group of individuals whose behavior is typical of a larger social body encompassing it. A microcosm can be seen as a special kind of epitome.

More obfuscation
from the Tower of Babyl.
Issues, guys, issues.
Stay on the issues and we'll all be better served.
Lively bats and balls forever
and we should continue to stand up
for ourselves regarding changes
that the market place and narrow minded
others want to impose on us.
Lively bats and balls forever
and free defensive subbing
would be great for seniors
if not all softball.
Screens rather than whiffle ball.
Anonymity is less than what's necessary
to be (or not to be).
Insurance companies, lawyers,
the self appointed "regulators" of senior ball are sharks
of self interest must be watched,
checked and kept at bay.
Take 2 and hit to right
and don't call me late for dinner.

Einstein is at 2014-see next post after yours, Captain Kirk.It is a fact that a few people do most of the posting here. I got involved few months ago because I care about the game I love. I sincerely hope more guys get into the discussion, but it seems everytime they do Einstein goes into one of his 100 line diatribes and they drop out of contributing.I would sincerely love to hear from more guys because I do believe a move to a cooler game, just a couple notches to take the edge off, would be well accepted overall.

Way to go, Mark.
A real opinion by a responsible
and real person.
Doesn't get any better.
A lot of guys don't post but read them.
I get lots of support and feedback
from players I meet at both local
and national events.
Debate and argument need but
two antagonists to be valuable.
It's a tough job but somebody's gotta
do it.
More is better, for sure
but don't underestimate the reach
of the message board in getting people involved, thinking and talking.

obfuscation/Albert: 1
Obfuscation is the concealment of intended meaning in communication, making communication confusing, intentionally ambiguous, and more difficult to interpret.

Issues.
Is safety a real or manufactured
concept for senior ball?
What percent is real
and what manufactured by self interest,
lawyers and insurance companies?
How much safer is needed
and how best to institute it, as it is?
How do HR's affect pitcher safety.
Why do some
TD's want lower scoring games?
Why are screens better for softball
than changing the entire game
to a dissatisfying version of itself?
Why don't more people get involved/post
in senior ball?
Real issues for real people.
That's how we like to roll.

CK,
I would think the SILENT MAJORITY is just that, SILENT. Quite the shame given they could make a difference, just do not realize it or perhaps care enough.
Also believe CONTENT & not RAMBLING on about this or that is what counts...
I agree I have many posts up, but I answered the vast majority of questions asked and do not hide from them. At the time posted, I could back up what I said unless I erred which I have done and admitted to.
But I would also think this isn't a "he who has the most post wins game". But is seems a few believe it is.

ck,
I should have also should have mentioned, the same applies to the site I built for players, it's current poll only has 18 replies from the 81 or so members. Some are very well know members from here too. But as far as knowing who answered the polls, I have no idea because I wanted it that way and respect those who might also want it kept that way also. That said I only know on one person who replied on the 1st poll, only because he used his email addy , but I let him know what he did.

Taits, there's a flaw in your poll. If you answer no to 10 you shouldn't have to answer 11, 12, and 13.

I agree, and there was the same think in the first one. But if answered, I used it.
If another is done rewording will have to be worked out...or multiple questions... Maybe a doesn't apply to me or NA answer choice as well.
