you can post any time on any thread that i put up.you are very insightful with your posts,i also would like to welcome any other poster(regardless of a name or not in their profile)who can post as good as you do.posts like yours make for good conversation here on the board, unlike the ones who always want to get derogatory toward the posters who do not wish to have their public info out there.

Thanks, mad dog, for the invite. Just got blasted as a “fluffy intellectual piece of nothing” for pointing out that a 73 degree day is not hot in my opinion, so hot that it would distort a ball’s performance. Actually, I was wrong about the period in question. At noon, it was 64, partly cloudy, with a “wind chill” of 7 mph; 66 at 1:00 with a 12 mph breeze; 72 at 2:00 with a 12 mph; and 73 at 3:00 with the same cooling breeze. Evidently few 400 foot shots were hit and so the ball was blamed.

But I am open-minded. As I said in my post, I don't remember hitting a Spirit ball on a 90 degree day. Does it really degrade a lot from the heat?

You Texas guys seem to have a lot of tournaments. How many options do you have on where to play on a summer weekend and still play in the state?

we do have a slight heat prol here,LOL.i found out about the MCT's about 5 yrs back,ASA doesn't allow them anymore as the comp is kinda skewed b/c of the soft outer layer.i have some 47 spirits in my bp bin and they ok.i have hit spirits(44-375/400) before in st george i think, and they did ok from what i remember.
the kids on a couple of softball boards i visit are using the 52-275 and have very few complaints, mostly from the composite hero's,that's all.

mad dog, I think you're right. I might have hit Spirits at the Huntsman, and some afternoons it can get into the high 80s, although it is a dry heat. Don't remember any complaints about balls there (mostly about sandbagging), but with the way you're treated as a player, the fabulous views, and the immaculate fields, probably grousing about the ball would be considered uncharitable.

i can agree about the huntsman games.they have the prettiest views around.they have used diff balls there, and i have had no prol with them regardless how they hit.they used to use the NSA ball which is a 44-400 ball, now they use the 44-375.
