Thanks John Bob, it was also good to see you again, looks like we might have to go to Lansing if Herb isn't going to have his tourney, I will give him a call today.

Southern Elite had also planned on being there. I had emailed Herb several times but never got a reply.

DoubleL10 and Bruce, Herb called me bacl today and said the tourney is still on, and that his old web site is not working, the guy that started it for him left and no one could add or change anything, he told me he has a new one, but I could not understand him real well on the phone, I think he said it is now heartlannd softballassociation.com, but i am not sure, I still not sure he is on the same page, maybe it was the phone?? We will probably go ahead and send the money in, will have to ask the boss Tuesday,But he never told me the drop dead date for the money, Rabbit

I do not think his email is working either

Rabbit, I checked the website: it is heartlandsoftballassociation.com. I read over the rules and there are a couple we are not used to that I will note: (1) sliding is allowed at any base, and (2) all divisions can use 11 defensive players. The second is certainly a material change for the less-than-65 age groups.

I just noticed another material rule change: Each team, in any division, may use 2 players who are 1 year away from the required age. (ex. 59 yr old may play in the 60 division). So, in theory, us 64-year olds can play in the 65 division!
