It occurred to me that I have not heard from any senior softball women about the new Melee bats. This is an awesome bat and one that some of you should be trying. At present, a 26 oz is the lightest you can get but who knows in the future. If I can answer any questions, give you updated info and feedback or help you get one for your team, please let me know. ed@ewandrews.com

Women softball players are talented athletes. I'm surprised that none are currently exploring the option of the Reebok Melee bat. Ed

surf88,
Sounds like a salesman...
One thought comes to mind is that they may prefer a shorter bat, say 33 or even a 32. With that might come a lighter yet bat as well. Most women are shorter and not as strong. Think about it. Sure, some usethe 34's but are they really comfortable with it. That is all that's
available, & all geared towards the males.

taits, No argument there but I have seen some women hit the ball further than lots of men and some of the women are very strong and powerful hitters. Some can swing a 26 or 27 oz bat, no doubt.

Your correct on that, I agree and have seen that also.

Maybe women are not yearning for a hot bat like male egos are? They might value the balanced game more because of their softball experience and varied skills. Lots of successful women players are not and never will be sluggers, but they are good defensively, or can run well, or are timely accurate hitters.

Described quite well and we agree there.

I got an email from a female ballplayer yesterday asking about the Melee. Thought that was cool. Stay warm out there.

Will the woman player that contacted me about the Melee please get back in touch with me. I'd appreciate it. ed@ewandrews.com
