| Feb. 10 Skins6 Men's 70 36 posts | How do the distances compare when hitting a ball in the air 1) pitched ball 2) tossing up a ball 3) off of a tee Is it about: tossing a ball 10-20 ft. farther than a tee and a pitched ball 10-20 ft. farther than tossing up a ball? |
| Feb. 10 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | I have found that a pitched ball gives at least 20-30 feet more distance that one that is hit off a tee. I would think it should be about the same for a ball that is tossed up and then hit. It is tough to get the right back spin on a ball that is tossed up and even one that is hit from a tee. This should account for most of the decreased distance when hitting from a tee or tossed up. When I hit off a tee I am happy to hit a 300' fence in the air or even on one bounce. |

| Feb. 11 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | off the tee i find just a little distance below pitched 20-25 feet,i use a tee for specfic area hitting,still can hit them out with a tee,get up to 330 off it where on pitch ball around 350. MAD DOG |
