Aug. 15 The real deal Men's 70 114 posts | This weekend is the NorCal (NCSSA) Hall of Fame tournament at the Big League Dreams Park in Manteca, where all participants are being asked to sign the "Acknowledgement of Risk, Release and Waiver Form" before being allowed to participate. Hmmm, don't remember being asked to sign a waiver at any other tournaments. Is this the wave of the future? |

Aug. 16 Marv19 Men's 60 498 posts | I suspect it has to do with BLD more than the tournament. BLD has some really funky rules and if they are allowing Ultra lls then this would be a ''feel good'' attempt by DLD. Just guessing mind you. Its the primary reason we have stayed away from BLD down here. Thank God we have super venues here and don't have to use BLD for a nice park to play in. |

Aug. 16 Fastsam Men's 60 56 posts | Did they allow ultra 2's at bld and are they going to allow them for ncssa championship this weekend there? |
Aug. 16 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | marv has it,BLD has always been against senior bats, even for senior use.to me any who try to make BLD bend their rules are crying.if ya wanna use their facilities, they should use their rules......... |
Aug. 16 angus73 Men's 65 100 posts | Not sure about some of the other BLD fields but Manteca and Redding ( CA ) have allowed senior bats ie, Combats, Worths for years for senior events. I thought it was an issue with Miken. |
Aug. 16 einstein Men's 50 3112 posts | Ignorance is as ignorance says. Hey Sam. Yes. Tell Gerald to copy the release form from the NCSSA site and have everyone sign and your whole team can use Ultra 2's. We're gonna do it, too. It never made much sense except for political and money reasons because Combats, and Toxics and Geezers were ALWAYS allowed. The battles going on under the radar are between manufacturers always trying to get a leg up on their competition and trying to throw their weight around. And that stuff ain't flyin' like it used to, happy to say. |
Aug. 16 einstein Men's 50 3112 posts | Just so everyone knows that ignorance sentence above has nothing to do with Sam, a very intelligent man and terrific player. |
Aug. 16 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | staff, the above post calling out people for ignorance, should not be tolerated, this individual is constantly degrading anyone and everyone on this board by posting like this,it is your duty staff to take care of this person and not allow this to happen,do your job. |
Aug. 17 einstein Men's 50 3112 posts | Is it that hard to be original, Robert? Copy cat went out in second grade. And ignorance, look it up next time you're doing all that research on bats and balls and tell us all what it means. It means "not knowing" and that's how I use it, always. There's a lot of things, Robert both you and I would be ignorant of. Not a crime to not know something. It's the natural state of being. It's definitive but not pejorative. You can look up pejorative too while you're at it. |
