I have just felt my first earthquake in my 63 years here in Virginia.. I hope that it was my last. It scared the crap out of me. The house was literal shaking. What a experience. I do not know how you California guys handle it. Thanks Harry

Hey Harry.
I been talking how tough we are out here in California.
Maybe now they'll listen :)

We get them every day.
They're after shocks of bigger ones that have
already happened and we do get'em all the time.

The big one we had in 89 at the World Series.
lasted 15 seconds.
That's a honker and very scary.
It was said,
the first five seconds folks said
hey that's an earth quake.
The next five seconds they said
Wow. It's a big earthquake.
The next 5 seconds everyone started praying
and asking for it to stop.
Very deep rooted traumatic stuff.
Lot's of people left SF in the next
6 to 12 months.

Joe, You will not get any arguments from me on toughness. It was something else. It is being reported that it was felt in New York city. Strange stuff. I do remember the quake of 89,that one was terrible.

Robert, I would think that maybe you get use to it but I do not want to Once was enough. it started small then the house started to shake and I was in the parking lot with the rest of the neighbors.

Thanks Harry
