? U2 or Freak +
I'm either going to buy the U2 or the Freak +. I've had a U2 before never had a Freak +. Would just like to know if it's only a 5' or 10' difference in distance. I'll buy the + if it's just 10 cause of the waranty on the + and not theU2.

In my opinion, if your maximum distance with the U2 is 300 feet you should expect the Freak+ to go 285' or so. As you maximum distance increases, so should the differences between the two bats. Maybe you could say there is about a 7% difference in the bats. I have never actually compared the difference so this is just a guess.

I have both bats. (28 oz) To me, the Freak+ has a completely different feel and swing. The U2 is a balanced bat, the Freak + is more end loaded. I swing the U2 much better and distance is no comparison with the U2 launching the ball much farther. I only use the Freak+ when I have to because of bat restrictions.

Nothing matches the U2 for distance, the only problem I have with the bat is they crack to easily. I have cracked two and have never cracked any other bat. I use a U2, Freak 100 and the red synergy extended. As Hit the gap stated depending on what associations you play, their bat restrictions has to factor somewhere in your purchase decision

UPDATE I went ahead and ordered the U2. I figure if they us mush balls in the tourneys I'll pull out. If the balls are good I'll use my freak 100 or the flex. Now I'm ready for my first spa tourney in Montgomery, Al. Thanks for all the replies.

Bruce I've seen your team play many times. Great team. This year I'm playing 55 AAA with Bugs. Should be a good tourny. See you out at the park.
