Prelims in Phoenix
My 65AAA division had "4" prelim games with 11 teams. Sure that gives you "6" games for sure. "HOWEVER", saw a lot of guys limping to the parking lot after #4 was over. I prefer, for the future, The normal "2" then lets play. "5" for sure is enough and if you get er done, we will have more energy and less injuries for 4 or 5 more. The "4" definately hurt the teams with smaller rosters.

gary that does sound like a bit to much,the 70's were also doing it.can't see the reasoning either for it,specially in the heat that was there.

Only reason for so many prelim games must be more equitable seeding, but mad dog is right—a team coming in with a smaller injury-depleted roster is at a disadvantage playing that many games in high heat. Equitable or not, it probably is unwise to push 70-year-olds (and 75-year-olds?) that much in hot weather.
