Question for the staff.

Page 12 (tournament guide)shows Eastside Cannery Casino and Hotel as Headquarters and the request to use this hotel. I called for rates, possibly special rates for the teams. I called the 877 # and the hotel, nobody and I mean after being transfered a number of times knew anything about a softball tourney, SSUSA, anyone named Terry, Dave or Fran, World Masters Championships, or anything about the hotel being the Headquarters for a big softball tourney. Question-What phone # and who would I ask for regarding booking this hotel??????

Don't hold your breath. There are many places on Boulder that offer good rates. Some next door or across the street from those on page 12. It does pay (YOU) to shop around. shop via the net or by phone, sometimes both for same place.

I've played in Vegas a couple times for SSUSA tournaments with Eastside Cannery being the tournament HQ.

Dave does a GREAT job organizing the tournament and I've been to the Cannery for sign-ups/meetings and etc.

Vegas is a big place with tens of thousands of rooms---------teams and players stay all over town--------just shop for and get the best rate you can is my opinion.

You'll see guys in uniforms for tournaments coming and going from MANY, MANY hotels and casino's----------so again, just my opinion, look into staying anywhere you want-----you still need to travel to whatever complex your team is assigned to.

My team has stayed at another hotel/casino complex that is a good 20/25 minute drive from Eastside Cannery, so unless I'm missing something, other than the managers meeting there is no reason you have to stay there, you can get good rates anyplace.

Dave sorry if that takes any business away from the Eastside Cannery, although my group usually gets there an hour or two before checking in, and spends some $$$$$ in the casino anyway.
