Seeing the mention of this bat in the "bat advice" thread I couldn't help wonder if anyone here has yet to use one let alone receive theirs that was ordered a couple years ago or so.
That extremely short video said or showed nothing really relevant to concerns about it, stated my many.

My friend this bat is like when you loan money to a family mamber in reality you just gave them some money, if they pay back great if not they still family. As I said before I hope that one day I get home and bang...there it is, otherwise I gave up hope. I donated to a good cause but a futile one. I personally would be very interested in seeing that business plan and what were the sales projections, break even point etc...By the time that they come up with this new bat technology innovation...every other manufacturer might have their own new one piece concept and then what? Good luck and hopefully they make their money back, personally I doubt it very seriously.

I had concerns when this all first started and glad I did not order one. I have been in contact w\ bill however on the matter and sat surprised when this all flipped over the Steve.
The shown bat in the 'video' is at least some hope that there will be orders fulfilled at sometime in the future, Lets all just hope that future is in 2012 before the season runs its course.
IMO its bad PR, CS, and advertising if that is even that. Let just hope it comes about.
Concept is needed since the chip doesn't seen to be used which was also a good idea. Or at least not mentioned any longer.

An Urban legend. You may see Nessie, theLoch Ness Monster before you see this bat.

I'm trying to be OPEN MINDED & give them the benefit of what they said as far as time it's taken and all. Sure does not do much for the little same ole, same old replies back I admit, but I sure do not want anyone left holding a red ink deal here.
If it turns out to be that I think there will be some angry guys who will see them around somewhere but I hope it doesn't come to that.

Nessie is alive and well....
Sal you coming up for P-town? If so who with.

Paco13: I feel the same. In good faith, I paid for one in October, 2010. Yep, call me dumb for doing such but I keep thinking it will show up but honesty feel like I have been had. Maybe everyone who is waiting post and state when they paid. My brother tells me that I contributed to the development with my donation.

I bought the original white Veteran, then took Bill up on his offer of $99 for the 2011 GBA -- which I paid for on Sep 13, 2010 -- and never received. He's been good about returning emails and answering questions when asked, and Steve has responded as well. Last word is delivery sometime in May of 2012 -- 20 months after I paid for a bat.

I'm not holding my breath, but I'm holding out hope. I have only one senior bat remaining (broke 3 in the last 2 years) but will hold off buying another until May (and my first 2 tourneys) have come and gone. I have good teammates who will let me use theirs if my last Miken breaks.

Like ChiPrimeMarty I made my purchase in September 2010 under the same promotion, and like Marty, Bill has responded to my emails promptly. Having paid only $99, I am a little uncomfortable complaining about not receiving a bat that obviously going be worth considerably more. To that regard I wouldn’t mind a price adjustment with consideration given for how long I have been waiting and the fact that GSC has had use of my money for a year and a half. And like pitcher55, I would like to see a list of prepaid bats or receive a confirmation email so that I could know for sure that I have not fallen through the crack.
