I got a good deal on this bat. I don't see a lot of info about it. I maybe have 60 hits on it. Any idea how long it takes to break in and will it ever have the pop of a miken ultra or reebok melee?

Can you send it back?!!
Just my opinion but, I stay away from all "re-issue" bats. It's the same senario as the blue combat purportedly being the same as the yellow. Never had a re-issue of anything that was as good as the original.Possibly the reason that you got a "good deal".

I'd agree with that.
If there were no 'issues' with it then they would more likely just have another run of xx number of bats.
That said, not all first runs are the best.
Another run could have added the stamps as mentioned in another post and still kept the same design.
Might be interesting to have those who bought the yellow Melee bat to post if they had problems and or how long it lasted if it broke. Maybe too about how many 'hits' they have on it if still used.

Thanks for the info. I have been using it for bp and thats about it. A few deep ones but not over the fence. I have also had a couple of ultra 2s and have hit a melee and there was not much difference between those 2. but I broke the ultras. I guess it will stay a practice bat unless something really positive happens. Thanks.

Mad Dog I have met Mike and he is an awesome individual but,he is also a saleman.Mike is in the Promotions buisness. The promotion to sell the blue combat is to say that it is the same as the yellow one. How many Blue ones do you think that he would sell it if he said that it was different than the yellow. More or less??? Now don't take what I am saying out of context.
I'm not "calling anyone out."
All I'm saying is that "the blue one ain't YELLOW".I'm not saying it's not a good bat -It is simply not as good as the yellow one. It is a different animal.

Hittnlong your combat Scott Brown Reissue maybe a u-trip endload bat are you taking bp with new or fairly new balls and turning the bat with each swing it may take 100 or so hit to open up. And it will not hit like senior bat but may come close.

Thanks. This reissue is the red one. I do rotate it every swing like I did with the ultras. It seems to be getting a little longer the more I hit it.
