CAT, I TALKED TO BOB WOLDYKE AT THE WSL HR DERBY SUNDAY AT THE DIAMONDBACKS STADIUM, WE USED TO PLAY TOGETHER ON JOE BLACKS. BOB SAID IT'S BETTER THAN THE FREAK AND ALMOST THE SAME AS THE U2, BUT IT'S MORE DURABLE. I GET MINE MONDAY, I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT IS. HE ALSO SAID THE NRG 500 WOULD BE JUST LIKE THE U2.

Thank you for you response.Since the 500 is only ASA approved, I would have assumed that the 600 would be more like the U2... Please correct me if I am wrong....Also, if you could let me know your preference between the maxloaded and the balanced.....Comments from anyone else would be gratefully appreciated...

CAT, I HAD BP WITH THE NRG 500 YESTERDAY. IT'S NOT BAD SO FAR. I BEAT IT WITH A RUBBER MALLET TO BREAK IT IN A LITTLE. AS FAR AS COMPAIRING IT TO A FREAK AND U2.....I THINK IT WILL BE ABOUT THE SAME OR A LITTLE BETTER THAN THE FREAK ONCE IT'S BROKEN IN. IT SEEMS TO HAVE A SMALLER SWEET SPOT AND A PING SOUND UNLIKE THE OTHER MIKENS. THERE IS NO WAY THIS BAT HAS THE SAME POP AS THE U2. I HOPE THIS HELPS

I had BP with my ASA Balance 27 oz. esterday. This is the best bat I've got for feel. This bat and the maxload will sell. The sweet spot is the entire barrel. After the first BP you can take her out to a game. The break in period is that fast. As for the maxload 28 oz. I hit my friends Sunday and on the 5 swing out of wrapper she gone. I either hit it over or it was hitting the fence. You'll love the ASA 500 balance and maxload. Wait till you hit with NSA 600 balance and maxload. This hits just as good as the freak + with a better sweet spot.

Thanks guys...that is what I have been hearing. It is a shame that ASA cannot get with the others. If you play against the best teams, then you want the best equipment..I am tired of carrying multiple bats, worth hundreds of dollars to play all of these organizations. As I had said many times over, it is not the bats and balls as much as the field conditions. Thanks again and Happy swinging....
