Oct. 23 Gary33 149 posts | Do any of you have good ways to raise funds for your teams? We have sold T-shirts and other items at Kentucky Derby Festival's Thunder Over Louisville. Put down volley ball courts for a large tournament. Golf Scrambles. NCAA squares. Let's share the good ones. |
Oct. 23 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Most places that schools do have many choices to pick from. E-Teamz web site also has a few ideas. Candy sales, coupon books according to geographic cities, areas, regions are amongst most of the companies that do this. Profit is about 50%. for most. Car washes is another. |
Oct. 23 Gary33 149 posts | Thanks Taits maybe we can get Hooters Girls to help with the car washes. |

Oct. 23 Gary19 Men's 50 2609 posts | I can see senior softball fundraising being a tough sell since the old guys probably have more money than most of the people they are soliciting. |
Oct. 23 jsheeran Men's 50 60 posts | Gary19: agree with your comment. We've had successful bowling fundraisers the last 2 years and plan another in February. Along with the bowling fee the event includes selling 50/50 tickets, auction items and lane sponsors. The more bowlers the more you make. |
Oct. 23 JBTexas Men's 70 434 posts | Sponoring and running a local senior tournaments can be a big winner. Have you guys do all the work, field maint. and umpiring. We do it early in the year before league play starts. Gives teams a chance to play a few games and helps in our funding for the year. |
Oct. 23 Gary33 149 posts | JBTexas working on a tournament as we speak. |
Oct. 23 Uncle Mike Men's 60 122 posts | Gary33- look at a casino bus trip, Reds game, or to the race track. Some places have fundraising buses- you just have to fill them up. Our buses hold 55 people @ $30 each and it has a bath room. The casino ( Harrahs') charges us $400 for gas- and everything else is profit for us- $1250 per bus. |
Oct. 24 Gary33 149 posts | Thanks Uncle Mike!! I have Horseshoe Casino within 20 miles of my home. I'll call them to see if they have any fund raising oppourtunities. Churchill Downs is also about the same distance. Thanks Gary 33 |
Oct. 27 Gary33 149 posts | Still looking for more unique ideas for fund raisers! |

Oct. 30 bb28 10 posts | ESPN Magazine has a good deal -- you sell a 2 year subscription of the magazine for $40 and you get to keep $30 for your team. You can sell as many as you want. Google it!!!!!! |
Oct. 30 Gary19 Men's 50 2609 posts | Could be wrong, but I still think in a down economy people are not going to be so inclined to contribute in too many ways to middle-age to old men who should have enough of their own money by this stage of their lives for their pleasure. |
