for a few (Major) players to compliment their winning ways. Have won several Worlds and Nationals in the past and looking forward to the promising upcoming year(s)...prefer above average skills in fielding and hitting with some consistency in long ball. WE offer fellowship and family fun in our winning ways...However, there is no room on this team for egos and politics! If interested, please inquire: funinsun333@yahoo.com thank you

Discussion: Original gray Miken Ultra (without center rod insert) VS. current MIken 2 piece endloads

Not to possibly beat a dead issue, here but here is my question - If the original gray ultra was only "hot" because of the harder compression ball, then are these new bats being offered, the same composition material as the original, but only under a different name?? Or, again, which is hotter, the original or the newer ones...thank you.

Discussion: Original gray Miken Ultra (without center rod insert) VS. current MIken 2 piece endloads

thank you for your responses....again, do you think it was the bat or the higher compressed ball we used at that time...would like to see a comparison with the same balls being used, eh?

Discussion: Original gray Miken Ultra (without center rod insert) VS. current MIken 2 piece endloads

So you guys are possibly saying that the composition of the original Miken and the new ones may pretty much the same and it may just be with the lower compression of the ball we now use? IF that be the case, then why the hype on every new bat that enters the market!! Durability maybe?

Discussion: Original gray Miken Ultra (without center rod insert) VS. current MIken 2 piece endloads

What started as a casual discussion among teammates but ended heated was over these two types of bats....Issue in question- it was stated that the very first and original Miken gray Ultra (without the inserted rod) is NOT as "Hot" for distance as the more current Miken 2 piece end-loads. Those of you who can remember those bats, what do you think?? thank you....

This man is a good ball player and dedicated to the game. Would be a good pick-up for any team. Just a very nice Christian fellow.

this guy is a very good player...always working on his game for improvement both for him and his team. He is a man of his Word and dependable on traveling. I would highly recommend him and it would be a huge mistake if a good team to get better, bypassed him....

Discussion: Dudley Lightning.....

Is the Dudley lightning EL approved for ALL senior softball organizations? (SSUSA...SPA....ISSA) I have never really given it much thought, both past and current, but does the organization's name have to appear on the bat for it to be used in their tournaments and their sanctioned leagues?....The lightning, just specifies SSUSA...thank you...Larry.

Discussion: courtesy runners

Not always is a courtesy runner used for the speed or an injury...years ago, I inserted a courtesy runner in the International Worlds in Manassas, Va in the 7th. inning for the winning run of the championships. He was not, by any means, the fastest but he was the only player that did not have the opportunity to get into that game. He scored on the next hit and we had won the championship. He was just as important of a player as anyone else on the team. To me, that is what senior softball, fellowships, and championship teams are made of...

Discussion: Ohio player - winter worlds

looking to play in the winter worlds in Fla or any other funinsun venues. Can play 55, 60, or 65 preferably at AA or AAA level. Major would be my least favorite just due to the lack of teams participating. I can be reached at: funinsun333@yahoo.com Plus, I haven't seen Fran for a while nor given Dave any trouble lately, so figure no better time than in the warmth of winter, eh? Thank you.

Discussion: Indiana/Ohio based team

The discussion was to try and find a few good players for the tournament...however, if you really want to get technical; if you have a team based out of Ohio, the border for Ohio and Ontario, Canada is near the middle of Lake Erie. Therefore, Ohio or Ontario can pick up each other's players...hmmmm :)
