| Dec. 26, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: survey 17 i'm with ya on the no extra foul....i also voted for the 1-1,but also replied back and asked about doing away with the extra foul.... |
| Dec. 26, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA HR rule question well taits you need to check your rules....USSSA has been 1-1 for at least 20 years,ASA change 2 yrs back....so please check your facts before saying something you know nothing about....most all assoc's now have 70' bases, why do parks and recs are set up for that, why do they need to just cater to the senior org....as SSUSA has said,vegas/clark county would not change back to 65',so what, get in shape so you can run 70',it'll make ya more healthy....... LP as a pitcher you can still nibble with the 1-1 count,in fact you can force a batter to swing even quicker with it....how many batters want to be down 1-2 that you know....the game now is so offensive orientated it is sickening, let the pitcher have a chance at least, and bring some D back....... gary h yep..they'll all play no matter what the rules are,i figure also.... |
| Dec. 26, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA HR rule question larry that seems to be the point for the 1-1 count, the hitters are not that aggressive on first pitches for 4-3 counts, like they would be for 1-1 counts....i also would not have an extra foul ball for the 1-1 count...wish SSUSA had that for a 3rd option in the poll,as i would prefer that....its what ASA,USSSA plays at leagues and tourney's.... |
| Dec. 21, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Survey wayne this will be the first year of going south to play texas states...... |
| Dec. 21, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Seniors Manifesto yep stole it also and posted it on my facebook page......... |
| Dec. 20, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Survey wayne i think he is talking about a complex in houston,i think that is where the texas state champs will be held next year....... now for the survey, none received from either assoc...... |
| Dec. 20, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: What did you do in your last at bat? well for senior league, went out in a bang, last 2 at bats were hrs, with last one a walk off winner,oh with the 52/300 ASA ball too.both were no doubters.....now for the young guys just a basehit(this is a no hr league)..... tourney wise (huntmans) long fly to left center,5' more would had a hr,but a little tired after 12 games in 5 days with most of them in 90-100 degree temps........... |
| Dec. 12, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Run Outs wood, that is perfect....most of these guys think bp is nothing but a hr derby and forget about real hitting.....learn to hit right and hr limits will not be a problem....... |
| Dec. 12, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Ratings ok team a scores ,lets say 20 runs a game avg, with only 1 maybe 2 hrs..most likely there are errors by the defense in that mix also, with a bunch of running and expending effort on the base paths....now team b scores that same amount of runs with 10 hrs,no defense involved, less effort running the bases,so tell me who is fresher after 5 games, your gonna tell me this is the same.......... |
| Dec. 11, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Run Outs crusher, just like i said above, there is no defense when the ball goes over the fence, also that team hitting them out, puts out way less effort on the base paths not having to run as much.....keep AAA hrs over the limit OUTS...... |
| Dec. 10, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Run Outs and there ya go bc7 ....you played in open tourney's not class specific....for usssa it was...0 for D;1 hr hitter for C;3 hr hitters for B;A was 5 or 7 hr hitters(to old to remember them)....now if senior ball would do that,i would be ok with ....AA get 1 hr hitter;AAA get 2 hr hitter;M get 5 hr hitters;M+ get 7 hr hitters..... now ASA was the same numbers, but it was total hrs,not hitters.. higher up in the divisions(A-AA,SUPER'S)they allowed quite few out.... |
| Dec. 10, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Run Outs ok,guys hr limits have been in place since the mid 80's,so where are/were these unlimited hrs being hit....also how do you defense a ball hit over the fence..oh you can't,that is the difference BC7..... AAA = 3 hrs is great, with outs for extra's....i consider myself a marginal power hitter, and haven't hit a dead ball out in many years,i also haven't lit up any pitchers b/c of running out of hrs, maybe a 3rd baseman,as i try to pull it(as long as the pitch allows).... so as i see it ssusa has got this right, now we just need the 1-1 count to come to us....ASA,USSSA both have it in kids ball, why not us........ |
| Dec. 4, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Grading the Rule Changes stick ASA doesn't allow it either.....now for the 70' bases, most all the assoc have them now,ASA will be having them next year(2013)....i see no prol with having them....as for the 1-1 count start, hey guys it has been around since the 80's(USSSA)......I like it,see no prol with it..... AAA hrs should be no more than 3 and an out for the rest...... |
| Dec. 2, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Safe Senior Softball they tried, but the judge threw it out of court............. lack of evidence......... |
| Dec. 2, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Altamonte Springs, Florida, 2013 Winter Softball Camp 1 of 11,yes a very good camp,i've been going since 2006...curt runs a very good camp....it is the 15-17 feb this year coming....temps usually run into the mid-hi 70's and 80's sometimes....... |
| Dec. 2, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Safe Senior Softball 200' way to short....when i started we played on 240-275' fields with wood and we hit plenty hrs....every now and again in our mens open league i'll pull out the wood...... |
| Dec. 2, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Grading the Rule Changes ff,and where do i say that.....just so sick and tired of hearing the AA and AAA teams cry b/c they don't get to hit hrs.....if ya wanna hit them, play up...... |
| Dec. 1, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Grading the Rule Changes A = for the hr rule changes....AAA don't need to be putting balls out of the park, like with the old rule....saw to many AAA teams get more than the allotted 3,with all others being walks this year....now with the outs, maybe they can play up,or learn to hit rather than slug away.....and please don't tell me ya HAVE to hit middle when hrs are gone, that is a crock of crap......just means your not a hitter, and are a swing as hard as you can type..... do like the 1-1 count, but can go either way...all my leagues here use the 1-1 count,so no prol for me..... webbie agree with making the mat 21" - 36"...... |
| Nov. 27, 2012 mad dog | Topic: Bats Discussion: bat dense,us....hey your the one trying to gouge us....this bat never sold for over $200 when new...you then come on here trying to get 2-3 times more of what it is really worth....get real, quit trying to punk everyone..... |
| Nov. 26, 2012 mad dog | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Replacement Surgery mike if ya can get a hold of him, bruce walker had his done a couple of years back....... |
