Discussion: So the question was....how to get more teams to play Major Plus

PEOPLE SHOULD ALSO REMEMBER THAT OUT IN VEGAS THE AIR IS VERY THIN. I SAW MANY AAA AND AA TEAMS HIT HR'S. SOME OF THESE PLAYERS WERE 125 TO 150 IN SIZE AND HIT IT 400 FT. SHOULD THEY MOVE THAT PLAYER TO MAJOR PLUS. ? NO , DIFFERENT TEAMS HAVE BETTER PLAYERS. YOU HAVE GUYS THAT TURN 50 THEIR FIRST YEAR IN SENIOR SOFTBALL. SHOULD THERE BE A ROOKIE 50 LEAGUE FOR THEM. NO THERE ARE DIFFERENT CALABURE PLAYERS THAT ARE ON MAJOR AND MAJOR PLUS TEAMS THAT COULD PLAY AAA. BUT THEY CHOOSE TO PLAY WITH THEIR FRIENDS. YOU MUST REMEMBER, WE ALL AT ONE TIME IN OUR LIFE PLAYED TOGETHER. WE CAN'T IN OUR OLDER DAYS IN LIFE STILL GET TO PLAY WITH AND AGAINST OUR FRIENDS. THIS IS A SPORT IT IS NOT A JOB. SHOW SOME SMARTS IN OUR OLD AGE. SOME PLAYERS HAVE WHAT THEY CALL EGO'S. OTHER'S HAVE STILL GOT HEARTS. LET'S HAVE FUN.

Discussion: 50 MAJOR & MAJOR PLUS COMBINED

THE PROBLEM WITH THE PLUS DIVISION IS THERE ARE NO TEAMS TO PLAY. THERE ARE THESE TEAMS THAT STAY IN MAJOR OR AAA AND NEVER MOVE UP. IT IS WHO YOU KNOW. THERE ARE TEAMS THAT ARE IN MAJOR PLUS THAT CAN'T AFFORD TO TRAVEL AND PLAY BEST 2 OUT OF 3 TOURNAMENTS. THESE GUYS THAT ARE TALKING ABOUT NOT COMBINING ARE NOT BEING FAIR. WHAT I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD DO IS LET THEM PLAY IN FOUR TOURNAMENTS, FIND OUT HOW THEY DO. BUT NOT IN A TWO OR THREE TEAM TOURNAMENT. IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT TEAMS ARE SPEAKING ON HERE. THE TEAM WE HAVE DID NOT WIN OR COME CLOSE TO WINNING A TOURNAMENT LAST YEAR. WE ALSO LOST SEVEN PLAYERS ,SOME TO 55 MAJOR OR PLUS DIVISION. SOME TEAMS FINISH ONE AND TWO ALL SEASON LONG AND DO NOT GET MOVED UP. YOU MUST ALSO UNDERSTAND WE ARE ALL 50 AND ABOVE . WE ARE IN THIS SPORT TO ENJOY. GOD BLESS. PLAY SAFE.

Discussion: 50 MAJOR & MAJOR PLUS COMBINED

TO THE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE 50 MAJOR & 50 MAJOR PLUS DIVISIONS SHOULD COMBINE. TALKING ABOUT USING A SCREEN, THAT IS A GOOD IDEA. ANOTHER SANTION IN SOUTH GEORGIA USES THEM AND IT WORKS GREAT. WHEN YOU PLACE A TEAM IN A MAJOR PLUS DIVISION, THE DIFFERENT ASSOCIATION'S DO NOT HAVE MANY 50 MAJOR PLUS TEAMS. THE TEAMS ON THE EAST COAST, ARE TOLD TO TRAVEL ACCROSS THE UNITED STATES. WHO IS GOING PAY FOR THESE TEAMS TO TRAVEL. THE TEAMS THAT PLAY , PAY THESE $500.00,$600.00 & $700.00'S FOR THESE TOURNAMENT'S. PEOPLE THIS DAY AND TIME WITH THE ECONOMY THE WAY IT IS, IS TOUGH TO TRAVEL. ANY PLAYER THAT PLAYS ON THE SENIOR CIRCUIT, SPENDS MAYBE $600.00 TO $700.00 A WEEKEND. AND THE PRICES WE PAY TO PLAY ARE UNREAL. WE AS SENIOR PLAYERS AND TEAMS ,SHOULD SPEAK WITH THE ASSOCIATION'S. AS WE HAVE GOTTTTEN OLDER, WE STILL LOVE THE GAME. LETS VOICE OUR OPINION AND LET THEM KNOW ABOUIT HOW WE FEEL. THESE TWO SUBJECTS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. LETS HERE YOUR OPINION. KEEP HITTING THEM.

Discussion: All the hate on DBO with senior bats...how about this?

There is a serious problem when association's want to shorten the ballgame's , but still charge $500-$600.00 per tournament. If you did not play their association's because of their rule's and price. Maybe they would get the message. They are talking about in certain association's playing instead of 70 min's per game. will be more like 45-50 min's a game. Do you think that is fair? Teams talk about Adiktiv on this website. but it is mainly the teams that can not compete in the Major division. And you know who you are. Stop living the dream. You get to this age to play a game that growing up people loved to play. Now you get older. and they want to restrict you from playing . Just because the players stay in shape better than them. Not all the good players want to play with your team, or they want to play on a team with their friends. Their are teams that do not get moved up because of who they know on the board. And they wine to the association's about getting beat each week by the same team. or teams. Drop drown . face reality. Enjoy this game while you can. it won't last for ever.

Discussion: There is not enough teams to have a Major Plus division

With the current move up's there are not enough teams on the East Coast, to have a Major Plus Division. There are 21 Major Plus teams in SSUSA registered this year. And two teams have disbanded.GOOD JOB SSUSA. Also noticed teams
that Performed really well last year , are still Major. GOOD JOB SSUSA , Merry Christmas.

Discussion: Why Not Have A Players Committee Of Real Players To Over See The Rules

Well with all the professional people that you have on your panel. Why could'nt you come up with a better rule than taking away the HR's as walk's , or even one up rule in Major and Major Plus. On the East Coast there are not enough teams to play Major Plus. You need to move more teams up to Major Plus or combine Major with them. Those two divisions should be allowed to swing their bats. Let the other classes use the DBO rule. As teams we pay a lot of money to travel to these tournaments, and pay the entry fee's. And then pay your fee's to join your association and have no say in the rules. These mask or helmets that you are not giving the players an option of wearing a mask or not. Plus they are having to pay $65.00-$75.00 for a mask. If you are making it mandatory you should pay for each teams pitchers equipment. If you want to shorten the game by HR's then go down on the prices of your tournaments.

Discussion: Why Not Have A Players Committee Of Real Players To Over See The Rules

We as players and coaches pay our fee's every year. Why not the players have a voice. They need real players input, not someone that sit's at a desk and make rule's. You have played all these years you should know. Let's form a Players Board Of Director's. What is your thought's on this subject.
