Glory Daze offered a broken Miken, a day old hot dog and a half drank Pabst Blue Ribbon for us to take Joncon. I think they need to do WAY better than that!!!! ;)

Had an unplanned batting practice session today in Chandler with the great Bill Gateley. We plan on doing it again Friday if anyone is interested. Will probably be in the late morning.

Personally, I live in Southeast Chandler and Victory Lane would be to far for a league night. I understand there may be a new Senior League in Chandler forming possibly this fall. Weekend tournaments are a different story. I have no problem traveling.

Gary, you are much much older than I am, but you forget at your age. :) I'm more than ready to get back out there! I think I know why you tried to reach Mary and the owners have cut out the freebies, we don't get anymore either.

Joncon, Mobil? As much as ever. Yes, I see them too, unfortunately. ;)

Are you guys playing?

Discussion: PHOENIX BALL FIELDS

Just curious to know why the World Tournament in Phoenix with teams from practically all across the country are being played on such suspect ball diamonds when there are two of the best softball complexes in the U.S. not being used. I'm talking about Victory Lane Sports Complex with six diamonds and Big League Dreams Park in Gilbert with eight fields?

I did not read this as an advertising post. I read it as a good review of a new bat that is coming out.

I also have just started playing Senior ball this season. In my opinion the Ultra II is unnecessary at the 50-55 levels. Maybe let the 60+ players use them but I feel the younger guys can still hit it with 1.20 bpf bats.
