| June 1, 2011 Michigan Vet | Topic: Bats Discussion: Best bp bat????? The two piece GBA bat is my batting practice bat. It is holding up very well, but still a little stiff with about 300 swings on it! |

| April 23, 2011 Michigan Vet | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Reebock Legend and GBA Review Well it finally got warm in Michigan, 70 degrees but windy. Went down to the local school and set up my just bought batting tee. Hit my 28 oz balanced reebock Legend and my 28 oz balanced GBA (2 piece). The GBA seems a little heavier but its balance point is 13.75 inches from endcap. The Reebocks balance point is 14.5 inches fron endcap. This might be the reason it feels heavier. Used Worth Gold Dot balls (I think they are 375/40 but not sure). This is the ball USSSA used last year in tournaments. Well let me say it took awile to get used to hitting off a tee, I finally found the right height for me. Winds were high going from right to left. I am 60 year old 6 ft 235 lb lefty. GBA (balanced) This bat has maybe 150 swings on it (used in Florida). Bat seems very solid but not alot of flex. Hit many good line drives but could not get up in air. Line drives were lazers. Th farthest I hit a ball was 290. Bat needs more breakin time I think to get to its full potential. Bat looks good, no cracks, no paint chipping just looks like its brand new. Reebock Legend (balanced) This bat has maybe 120 swings on it (again used in Florida). What a difference!! Bat hits LAZERS and Great distance, hit a couple 340 and 330. Also hit 4 about 300 - 310. Bat has a great feel with great POP. Bat looks great just dirt on barrel. No stress cracks or paint chips. I think this bat is my new gamer. In conclusion the Reebock is good to go after about 150 swins, The GBA needs much more break in time but is a good solid bat |
| April 13, 2011 Michigan Vet | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Playing on 2 teams same age group Can you play on 2 teams in the same age group but different divisions? For example can you play for a 50+ major team and a 50+ major + team at the same time? A vfriend of mine is curious! |
| March 24, 2011 Michigan Vet | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: 55 n older Jim Hanna now has his own senior team. It is called Line Drive or Georges Bulldogs. They play 50 major+. Also play against Jim in a morning 55+ league in Detroit area. Ed says he remebers playing with you in Traverse City. |

| March 22, 2011 Michigan Vet | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: 55 n older Hey Neck Yes, Eddie Karras plays on our team. He is just turning 55 this year. Still hits it a long way. Bobby Stew does not play anymore, he does alot of umping. I dont think Eddie Collins plays anymore either. I have played against Bruce Gomez (he goes about 3 bills now) in a Ford League. The name of our team (for now, it is going to change) is Mike Valerio or Pinnacle. We will be having a team meeting real soon! |

| Jan. 13, 2011 Michigan Vet | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: TOC - Loyce Harpe Park - Lakeland Anyone played at Loyce Harpe Park in Lakeland. I think it is the old Carter Road Park. This is where 50 AAA is playing. Just wonder how good they are? Thanks |

| Nov. 12, 2010 Michigan Vet | Topic: Bats Discussion: Boombah Senior bat Bought one for $99. It is a log! Had only 100 swings on it and it broke. Boombah basically told me too bad. DON"T BUY IT!!!! |
| Nov. 10, 2010 Michigan Vet | Topic: Bats Discussion: Boombah bats and Bass Bats My Boombah was a log and cracked after about 100 swings. Called Boombah and they basicly told me "Too bad". getting my GBA Griday, can't wait! |
| Nov. 1, 2010 Michigan Vet | Topic: Bats Discussion: Boombah bats and Bass Bats Yes I know. I have a red EL & the special edition Ultra IIs. This discussion is about the Boombah or Bass senior bats. I just use the Boombah for batting practice. You do not want to use the Mikens in batting practice (except the Legacy)! |
| Oct. 31, 2010 Michigan Vet | Topic: Bats Discussion: Boombah bats and Bass Bats Soory!!! I Have a Boombah Senior Bat, it is grey with a black Boombah Logo in sweetspot. It is not a GBA!!! It is a 27 oz and is $99 right now. Dan, I am not going to Ft Meyers. My 50 team is going to TOC in february. I do turn 60 next year and am looking for a 60+ tournament team to play on (also a new team for Tuesday & Thursday), I am tired of always being the old guy! |
| Oct. 31, 2010 Michigan Vet | Topic: Bats Discussion: Boombah bats and Bass Bats I just got s 27 oz Boombah veteran for $99. Thought I couldnt go wrong for a batting practice bat. I think it is weighted like the Red Ultra II. I have may be 150 swings on it. It started out a log. But seems to be opening up every time I use it. It has a smaller sweetspot then the Ultras but is holding up well. Used it in 54 degrees last week here in Michigan and no damage.I well update you after a few more swings. |
| Oct. 17, 2010 Michigan Vet | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: after game refreshments We won the 50 AAA Northern regional but do not have enough guys to go to Phoenix. Planning on going to TOC. |
