Discussion: Question on Gloves

Just got a new Easton Salvo SVS15 (15") at Play it Again Sports. It was regular $55 but was 40% off, couldn't pass it up. It is black with an H web, leather pocket but mesh on back side, very light. Feels great, I do not think it will take long to break in. Will update after break in.

Discussion: So, you don't wear pitching protective gear!!

I agree with Weebie and Stick. There is no sense having a rubber.
I also like the Worth pitching helmet, but like I said I use a Softball Batting Helmet with a metal face guard because I like the brim to shade my eyes. These are very light and are very comfortable. I have also seen a few guys use a Lacross helmet. But they do something to the facemask for better vision.
I HOPE ALL PITCHERS AT LEAST WEAR A CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duke
If you want a chest protector that you can wear all game try the EVOSHIELD chest protector. It slides into a pocket of a tight fitting shirt (you can take it in or out during the game). You form the Kevlar shield to your own chest. I wear the entire game. I also wear Lacross goalie shin pads under my pants, a cup and a softball batting helmet with a metal face guard.
I do not trust the plastic face shields! It is a shame we have to wear all this, but get hit just once and you could be done for quite a while.
I agree with Gary!!!

Discussion: Rule Question

Runners on first and 3rd with 2 outs. Runner on 3rd is a pinch runner and he is on deck. We walk the batter to load the bases. Now the runner that is on 3rd is suppose to be up. The umpire calls him out and the inning is over. The next inning the runner that was called out for being on base when it was his turn to hit comes to the plate. I say he can not be up because he was the 3rd out of the last inning. But umpire says because he was running for someone else he can still bat! To me that is not right. What is rule?

Discussion: Yellow Combat MM Gear vs Blue MM Gear

I have a Blue 28 oz MM Gear and it seams to fit my swing real well. I have had it for 2 years, it is very hot and looks good. I keep trying new bats and keep going back to the Blue Combat. I just traded a bat and got a yellow 28 oz MM Gear. I hope they swing the same because I am looking forward to getting it!

Discussion: KVSL Michigan Senior Softball

Are you playing in the KVSL now? You should look into playing in CanAm 55+ league. This is probably one of the best Senior leagues around. We play Tuesday & Thursday mornings. It is a travel league with 8 teams each with a home park (Oak Park, Taylor, Dearborn, Detroit, Sterling Heights, Windsor and 2 Livonia teams). We are half way thru the season and I do not think you can get on a team now but I will give you the presidents number. What is your email?

Discussion: Anyone used or tried compression socks ?

I had a blood clot in my right thigh (Calf swelled). Was told to use compression
socks when I play. I bought Miken's VO2FX compression socks. They are expensive, around $40 a pair! I got mine for $20 on Amazon.

I love them! They are very comfortable and seem to help my legs during tournaments. Would recommend them to anyone with leg problems.

Discussion: Equalizer rule question

We are playing in the Bobby Chapp Tournament in Lansing this weekend. We are a 55 AAA team. We play 2 preliminary games on Saturday. Even though there are 6 teams in our division (50/55 AA&AAA) we do not play any of them in the preliminaries. We play a 60 Major and a 60 Major plus team. My question is what is the equalizer here? I think when we play the 60 major team we play them even, and when we play the 60 Major+ team we get the 5 runs or fielder. We also play by our rules (AAA). Please let me know if I am correct.

Thanks

First of all, this BS should not even of happened on a Forum. A private Email to Sparky explaining why you do not want his sponsership was all that was necessary.
He does not deserve all the shit he is getting?
Pricer, if you don't want his friend thats fine, but why badmouth a guy trying to help a senior softball team? There are teams out there that will except his sponsership even with the player situation. Lets all just say thanks to Sparky for his efforts and leave him alone.

Hey Jim & Dave

Both you guys should be hitting in Novi. If you haven't heard the Livonia Cantebury team has folded in CanAM. Lost to many guys. Not sure where everyone is going but I decided to go with Leons and try to make them better. Hope to see you guys in Taylor to hit OUTSIDE soon!
