Cal cup equalizer
I few weeks ago there was a looooong thread about plus ball.

During that discussion some said they just wanted to play the best.

During that discussion some said merge plus with major and use the lower homerun duke.

What went on at the

Did the teams that said they just want to play straight up actually do it?

Or....did they take the extra fielder and thereby ending any future talk about competetors wanting to just play the best...and so who was the best that given day?.

God's Sports Company (50-Major+) played five games in the Cal Cup where an equalizer was available to their opponent ... In four of those games, we believe the 11-Defensive-Player option was elected, with Bad Seed 50-Major taking the five runs in the other game ... The results were:

• MTC 55 (19) - GSC (18)
• GSC (21) - CA Energy (6)
• NorCal Warriors (15) - GSC (4)
GSC (23) - Bad Seed (18)
• CaliGold Athletics (18) - GSC (15) [Scorecard does not indicate if they took the "11", but they did NOT take the runs.]

The NorCal Warriors were unbeaten and in the Championship game against MTC 55's, who came back thru the Elimination Bracket after losing to the Warriors in the Winners Bracket semi-final Saturday evening ... With very high temperatures and two Champions already determined, the Championship game was cancelled by mutual consent ...

I think any team playing down a division can affect the lower rated teams record in their own bracket should be giving up a handicap(I also believe they should never combine the two divisions)....However, If they had to combine them, I think they should only be an exhibition between the higher team and the lower team and not effect the lower teams tourney.

We took the 11th fielder against GSC trying to win the Calcup.. if that is what you wanted to know... I don't know what the other teams did!
