Sept. 18 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | I would like to congratulate the Colorado boys from Scrap Iron Phiten 65's for recently winning the SPA Worlds in Dalton, GA. They walked through a very tough division and are the SPA Champs!!! Congratulations Scrap Iron Phiten!!!! |
Sept. 18 SlowLearner 19 posts | Scrap Iron Phiten did not play in the SPA Worlds in Dalton. It was another Scrap Iron team with different players. The team that played is Scrap Iron 3N2 and had a number of players that does not play with Scrap Iron Phiten. |
Sept. 18 SlowLearner 19 posts | SCRAP IRON PHITEN DID NOT PLAY IN THE SPA WORLDS AS THE TEAM HAS BEEN HIT HARD WITH INJURIES THIS YEAR AND WE HAD TO PICKUP SOME PLAYERS TO QUALITY AND PLAY SPA. BEEN ONE OF THOSE YEARS AND WE HOPE TO FIELD THE PHITEN TEAM IN VEGAS. |
Sept. 19 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | Let me correct that Bill. CONGRATULATIONS to the 65 team from Denver that won the SPA Worlds 65 Division and was made up of players from Scrap Iron AND Phiten teams. Anytime a team from the west can travel to Georgia and win it, I take my hat off to them. |
Sept. 19 armiho211 Men's 70 449 posts | if ridge approved the mixed team, what's the problem ? i am sure he would let anybody do this. |
Sept. 20 lemons Men's 65 323 posts | Once again, Ridge showed poor decision making when he allowed The Dayton Legends (65's) to threaten a protest and thereby kept a player from US.Jobs from playing on Sunday. How can you be sure what he would do when there is great inconsistency in his rulings. |
Sept. 20 the wood Men's 65 1123 posts | Lemons: What would have been the basis of the protest? SPA rosters can be changed prior to the event. Did US Jobs have too many M+ guys or what? BW |
Sept. 20 lemons Men's 65 323 posts | Mr. Wood, One of our players had played in The Circle City Classic with us (65AA) and later played with Brickyard (60AAA) in the same tournament. Brickyard defeated The Dayton Legends in the 60AAA, and apparently there were hard feelings on Dayton's part. Afterward, he was dropped from the Brickyard roster. He's played with us all year, even in league play, and it was a shame that he couldn't finish with us in Dalton. Regards, Mel |
