| Feb. 4, 2014 local 169 posts | I saw the bat and it's Freak 2000 with the 1.20 stamp. Clearly I am not the brightest person when it comes to Bat history. So if it says Freak and it is stamped 2000 and has the 1.20 is it the old "hot" freak or what ? |
| Feb. 4, 2014 canIjack Men's 60 322 posts | Excuse me sir, I believe you have an original Freak. Its says Freak no 98. It has the ASA 2000 stamp at the end of the barrel and USSSA 1.20 and yes they are HOT. No idea how much they are worth but I liked to know just because I have 2 of them. They were made around 2002. Durable I believe USSSA made them illegal because of the POP, but don't quote me. |

The sweet spot was not as large as a U2 but when you hit it the performance was close to the U2 and those bats were hard to break. If it says Freak 98 on the barrel it is not the bat I had. I have seen the original Freaks sell for $400+ in our area. Thanks: James |

| Feb. 5, 2014 curtiss Men's 50 32 posts | In 2000 when bats were rated for ASA they were also rated for USSSA because the ASA had a BPF rating of .98 and USSSA had a BPF rating of 1.20 with the same test process. They have both changed to different test procedures and different ratings now so you need to check with your local league if they will still allow the bat to be used. As far as price it should go for about $100.00 approx. but with the rating change sell it now. I have one of these by the way and it is a HOT bat for ASA league. |

| Feb. 6, 2014 SALSAKID49 Men's 60 161 posts | The OG FREAK was made for the 2004 season... to replace the ASA UII with the 2000 ASA stamp.. the Miken Freak 98 with the black body should have the model# MSFN.... it was made in 2006? to replace the OG FREAK.. |
