The Thursday Scores were:

Game Number on Schedule::
8. Triple Play 22 defeated Last Call 14
9. Enforcers 20 defeated Triple Play 9
10. Game ON won as stated above.

Game On scored 5 runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead and held the Enforcers score less with two on base in the top of the seventh. The game ended on a great double play from second baseman to rover covering second and then on to first.

Great Tournament well run with good umpires.

Feeling like a winner when you have nobody to play! Come on already. This is a joke. 1 70 AA team playing an exhibition team for the right to be called a Champion. 3 AAA teams. Yipee!

Tournament was well run from my perspective at the Sac complex. I didn't see or hear about any problems amongst the players.
All teams were competitive.
I didn't go to Elk Grove but have played at all locations in the past and didn't see back then any field problems.

It was great to see players i players against & with 15 years ago or more, even a guy I went to high school with 50 years ago.
Awesome time.

taits, I agree with you. It was a rare tournament where the games were on time. The fields were in better shape than last time, and only the first game of the day overwatering (normal in this hot weather location) was an irritation. Watched several games other than my own, and teams seemed well-matched.

Only problem I heard of that you wouldn't have noticed playing on an exhibition team, was that shirt awards were prepackaged for winners so many players could not receive a shirt in their size and the TD refused to exchange shirts at the location. SSUSA has been good in the past about replacing wrong size shirts, but why not have them there for exchange rather than stretch it out over the weeks with extra delivery costs?

Looking forward to the Western Nationals at the same location. Good to talk to you as well in Sacramento.

Omar, I guess you were my official greeter in as much as you were the first one I met and knew there. :>)

There were so many I hadn't seen in years that remembered me, it meant a lot to me.
Hope to see ya* around again, maybe even in the "swing" of things next year. * and many others also

38 softball, it would be nice if you had more 70 year old teams there, but you are a winner if you played games and are able to play at 70 years old.. it's amazing to me that you guys are still doing this kids game..
