June 1 Senior11 9 posts | This is my first year playing with the seniors. I just would like to hear other opinions from others out there about all these ID cards. I was just informed by our manager that I needed to fill out and register for yet another ID card. This means that I need to go and pay another $10 for a passport photo and send in another $20 for a registration fee, I already have 2 other ID card from other associations which cost another $75 or so. Whyt is it that we can fly all over the country and all that is needed is a valid drivers license with a photo ID proving your age and residence. If that is good enough for national security why is it not good enough for playing softball? |

We make a color copy of our picture that is on our driver's lic, If you don't have a color copier, Mail Boxes Etc or Kinko's will do make a copy. |

As with any business, something has got to pay the bills. Somehow, I don't think that most of these organizations are the gold mines we players would like to think. Look at it this way; it's a lot cheaper than a country club, and a whole lot more fun. |

It would also be nice for these associations to run more than 1 tournament a year in the region if they expect the players to dole out their money. And then they want you to get another one if you pass from one age limit into the upper one. If you have to produce a drivers license to get the card, why not just use the license. I know they aren't getting rich off these cards, but it's obvious it's just another way for them to soak you. |
