Rosemary Dowell joins the Napa franchise, weighing in at a robust 8 lbs 11 oz. Talks with the three franchise ownership groups indicate that rosters may well be frozen. Current (and possibly final) score is: GIRLS (5) • BOYS (2). |

| Sept. 17 phantomf4j 42 posts | Hey Dave, my son was born over 8-pounds as well. He was born in a Baptist Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. He got a certificate that said: "Any boy baby over 8-pounds, is hereby directed to report 18 years from today to the Baylor Bears football program in Waco, Texas." Pretty funny. Sounds like your grandson might be eligible for some big boy athletic program somewhere. Congratulations. |

Dan Blocker (Hoss Cartwright) weighed 14 pounds at birth, (OUCH) then the largest baby ever born in Bowie County, Texas. By the time that he was in the first grade, Blocker weighed 105 pounds. |
