Okay, how about this. The show was about a tough Chicago cop who worked for an elite anti-mob division. It had a great theme song. Name the series and the lead, tough guy, actor.

Andy,
First of all, you have to answer something right before you can pose a question. This will be difficult for you. Call Kirk Alyn for some super help.

Ok...here goes.
Name the actor for this private eye series set on an unknown waterfront. The series was the first to use cool jazz as background music while the other shows still used generic orchestra music..

Scratch the previous question.

What actor named Mickey replaced Porky ? He is alive today. His best acting job ever was in a courtroom, in my opinion.

I think the answer is that murderer, Robert Blake. I don't know if his name is Mickey though. The movie you are referring to is In Cold Blood.

He played in the Lil' Rascals.

Right on.
Mickey Gubitosi first appeared in the series " Our Gang" in 1939. His character ," Mickey, " replaced the character of " Porky " when actor Eugene Lee became to old to fit the series. In 1942, Mickey Gubitositook the stage name of Bobby Blake. The character then became known as " Mickey Blake." Later on,the actor took the stage name of Robert Blake.
Blake is probably best known for his work in the detective series " Baretta." He appeared in the movie ' In Cold Blood"
He was later accused of killing his con artist wife Bobbi Bakley but was later acquitted. Many feel that was his best acting performance which got him acquitted.

Not Alice Cooper let's recap the clues, famous singer with a famous daughter also a singer, jazz bent and as Pete added popular. Wood's guesses were "unforgettable". Died in the mid 60's and did a record with his daughter posthumously with the magic of technology. Gunilla Hutton of Hee Haw fame and Petticoat junction was his mistress.

Gentlemen.. just back from Hawaii visiting my newest grandson and on the way out the door heading for Phoenix but.. couldn't resist jumping on this post to see what was new. Some awesome questions since I last visited.. some real stumpers... the key clue to this question is the clue "Unforgetable". I believe that Nat King Cole might be who you are looking for???? My mom collected his records and followed his life story so I had a bit of help here.
