Hitting Screen
I'm looking for any ideas/info on a hitting screen so I can hit in my yard, etc. I have a batting tee I made but need to find/make a hitting screen set up of some kind. Thanks

Ed, I have the juggs instant screen it's 7'x8' & folds up into a 36" pouch. It works great for soft toss, hitting off a tee or just using it as a backstop. about $130 @ baseballsavings.com

I bought an ATEC sock net on eBay two years ago. It works great.
New they are expensive but I got a deal.

Shortly, Paul and Bruce,
Are these screens strong enough to handle balls hit by U-2's over and over off the tee? I want to get a strong unit with longevity.

Ed, the key word here is "sock". Make sure what ever net you buy is a sock net. I use my MM Combat as well as utrip and asa bats with my net. I've got a Swing Speed Radar set up and so far I reached 103mph and I'm sure that is no problem with net breaking. The way the net works is there is plenty of slack in the net so it deadens the balls.
good luck!

Ed, you should decide if you want a portable or stationary net. The Atec is stationary. I paid $125 for a used one on eBay. New it is much more.
I have mine set up on four 6"x6"'s, two on each side. This raises it to the correct height.
email me at b_fairchild@hotmail.com if you want pics.
